Stree 2 star Rajkummar Rao opens up on working with Shraddha Kapoor, Janhvi and Sonam; says THIS

Rajkummar Rao is a self-made man who went from doing minor roles in movies like Rann to winning a National Film Award for Best Actor for the 2012 movie, Shahid. While he is proud of working hard and creating his characters with his sweat and blood, he admitted his life would have been easier if he had a support system in the industry. The actor also spoke highly of his co-stars Shraddha, Janhvi, and Sonam in an interview.

Rajkummar Rao was in a conversation with Unfiltered by Samdish wherein he spoke about his debut movie and his personal and professional life. This is when he also heaped praise on his co-stars, Shraddha Kapoor, Sonam Kapoor, and Janhvi Kapoor. During the candid chat, the Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video actor said Janhvi and Shraddha are ‘mehnati (hardworking)’. To refresh your memory, Janhvi and Raj recently shared the screen in Mr. & Mrs. Mahi while he worked with Shraddha in Stree 2.

While talking about his Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga co-star Sonam Kapoor, the ace actor stated that she is a kind-hearted girl. Rao said so when he was talking about being an outsider in the industry. He admitted that sometimes, it’s not easy and there are occasions when he wishes to have someone from the industry. If he had family members from Bollywood then people would also be around him and his acquaintances would have handled a lot of problems. But since that’s not the case, he has to fight his own battles and struggle himself.

He further shared with the host that his association with the insiders of showbiz would have helped him seek suggestions on films and he would have someone to guide him. Sharing how the production houses make him overwork during film promotions, the Badhaai Do fame stated that if he had close connections in the Indian film industry then he would also been spared of the uninteresting and mundane work. “Tab lagta hai mere bhi industry se hote papa-mummy toh bol dete ki ‘Listen, guys, don’t do so much na.’ (This is when I feel If I had parents in the industry, they would have also told the makers to not make him work so much).”

When asked his any of his co-stars with influential parents in the industry ever did that, Rajkummar stated that all the actors that he has worked with are genuinely hardworking.

Ananya Panday admits to sharing crying pictures on Instagram; says ‘I feel like I look really good when…’

Ananya Panday’s film career seems in control with the kind of work that’s coming her way. Earlier this month, she shared the screen with Vihaan Samat in Vikramaditya Motwane’s CTRL which dropped on OTT. As she discussed relationships and social media with the team, the actress also revealed she loves crying as it makes her look good.

During a podcast with Netflix India, Ananya Panday admitted that she loves crying. The young actress stated that some of the best pictures come when she sheds a tear. Additionally, she also revealed that she has posted her crying pictures on Instagram because she feels “I look ready good when I cry.”

The Gehriyaan actress also backed her statement by stating that getting teary-eyed gives her a natural glow and glassy-eye effect. It’s so good that whenever she is having a meltdown, she looks into the mirror, and says ‘Not bad’, and then goes back to crying. “I love crying,” Panday divulged.

This isn’t the first time that the Kho Gaye Hum Kahan actress has spoken about her love for crying. In one of the segments hosted by We Are Yuvaa on YouTube, the actress stated that she finds it tough to express herself because she starts crying immediately. Hence, when faced with such situations, she thinks the ideal thing to do is to step aside and take a breather even though she doesn’t like it. But every time she has done it, it has always ended better. “So, I should be doing that,” she quipped.

While talking to Humans of Bombay, Ananya admitted that she cringes at herself all the time. “I think I have gotten better at looking at myself on screen but when I started out even if someone was watching a video of me on their phone, I would run out of the room,” Chunky and Bhavana Pandey’s daughter stated adding that she can’t hear her own voice.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Ananya Panday will be next seen in the tentatively titled movie, Shankara alongside Akshay Kumar and R Madhavan. It will be reportedly based on the book ‘The Case That Shook The Empire’ authored by Raghu Palat and his wife Pushpa Palat. Helmed by Karan Singh Tyagi, it will be backed by Karan Johar.

Mallika Sherawat opens up on enjoying singlehood; says ‘jahan mann aaya chal diye’

Mallika Sherawat made the audience go gaga with her roles in films like Murder, Pyaar Ke Side Effects, and Welcome, among others. However, for the past couple of years, she has been away from the big screen. Her fans were delighted when they saw her again in Rajkummar Rao and Triptii Dimri’s Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video. While talking about her entertaining comeback in Bollywood, the actress spoke about enjoying singlehood.

During a conversation with Ranveer Allahbadia on his YouTube channel, Mallika Sherawat stated that she gets a lot of wanted attention which she loves. However, with it comes some unwanted attention too. When asked if she is single, the actress said, “Yes” adding that she is loving it. “Jahan mann aaya chal diye. (Wherever I want I can go) That’s what I am loving,” she stated adding that a person has to be worthy of someone’s time so they can get into a committed relationship. She added that if someone is going to invest a lot of their time, and emotions with another person, their partner has to be worthy of it.

While she saw fame and success in equal measures, Sherawat was also on the receiving end of trolls and judgment. While talking to Pinkvilla earlier this year, the Murder actress stated that she faced the negativity by leaving the country. “I left the country. That’s how I dealt with it. The kind of bullying and harassment I have faced by a certain section of the media, common public, the judgment that I faced. You know I couldn’t deal with it; it just broke my heart; I left the country. I said I need to go out of this country to really feel sane,” shares Mallika.

Having said that, she admitted that today, a lot has changed. “Today if we see a lot of web series, where a bold attitude is very much acceptable, frontal nudity is very much acceptable, actresses are not being judged for it. So definitely it has changed. Writers are writing more and more adventurous roles for female actors,” she told us.

For the unknown, Mallika’s comeback movie, Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video is helmed by Raaj Shaandilyaa and was theatrically released on October 11, 2024.
