Anil Sharma’s Gadar 2 created havoc at the box office in 2023. Sunny Deol, Ameesha Patel, and the director’s son Utkarsh Sharma reprised their roles in this sequel. Today, October 12, 2024, on the festival of Dussehra, Sharma has officially announced his next movie Vanvaas with his son. He called it ‘Parivaar ke liye ek Parivaarik film.’

Today, Anil Sharma took to his Instagram and shared the announcement video of Vanvaas. The video said, “The director of Gadar: Ek Prem Katha, Apne, Gadar 2, Anil Sharma brings to you an unforgettable tale.”

The title card and the tagline of the movie was unveiled as, “Apne hi dete hain apnon ko… Vanvaas (Our own people give us exile).” The video revealed that the movie will arrive soon in theaters. It ended with the text “Aap sabko Dussehra ki shubhkamnayein (Happy Dussehra to all of you).” Emotional theme music was playing in the background.

In the caption, Anil Sharma wrote, “Parivaar ke liye ek Parivaarik film (A family film for the family) #Vanvaas.” The post also included the names of the cast members Nana Patekar, Utkarsh Sharma, Simratt Kaur, Khushboo Sundar and Rajpal Yadav.

Devara Part 1 directed by Koratala Siva and starring Jr NTR, Saif Ali Khan and Janhvi Kapoor is a huge box office success. It has become a fitting 2nd Pan-Indian film for Jr NTR after RRR. It is a certified blockbuster in Andhra Pradesh and a super-hit in Telangana. The sea adventure has also managed to do super-hit level business in Karnataka. The Jr NTR starrer did ordinarily in Tamil Nadu and Kerala. The business in Hindi is average to good but a breakout is missing like that of Pushpa, KGF or Kantara.

Devara Part 1 Is All Set To Be A Rs 400 Crore Worldwide Grosser

The final India gross total seems to be heading towards Rs 325 crore. That will mean that Devara Part 1 will also come close and probably even cross Rs 400 crore worldwide. The final worldwide total will be under Thalapathy Vijay’s The Greatest Of All Time primarily because the latter did much-much better internationally. Devara Part 1 is a money-spinner for everyone involved and work on Part 2 is justified to begin because the acceptance is visible going by the strong trend even in week 3.

Antony Varghese and Raj B Shetty starrer Kondal is all set to make its OTT debut soon. The Malayalam-language action flick is set to start streaming on Netflix on October 13, 2024, at 12:00 AM.

The flick was initially released in theaters back on September 13 along with Tovino Thomas’ Ajayante Randam Moshanam and Asif Ali’s Kishkindha Kaandam. A month after its release for the Onam festival, the movie is set to mark its debut on the OTT platform.

The movie Kondal starring Antony Varghese in the lead role features the actor as Manuel, a man who is facing some troubles in his hometown. Owing to the problems, the man decides to leave his place and take up a job at a harbor. However, things take a sour turn when minor conflicts lead to a feud between him and others working there, setting up the rest of the movie.
