She then encourages Ruri to try, given her own weather-related trait. When Ruri asks if she would be allowed to do so, Ruri’s mother states that Ruri was human, so it should be fine, though they could ask someone else about the specifics.

It is then revealed that Mr. Takemoto has been sent to secretly monitor Ruri. He explains to them that while it is allowed for Ruri to take on this task with some supervision, it came with a number of potential risks. This is why he did not wish to encourage it.

Ruri insists, saying she wished to use her dragon abilities for good, and RuriDragon Chapter 22 ends Takemoto relents to her resolve and decides to take initiative in asking the school administration about the matter.

Kagurabachi Chapter 53: Release date and where to read

Kagurabachi Chapter 52 is titled ‘Just the Two of Us,’ and opens with a flashback where Chihiro and Hiyuki discuss the mysterious Hishaku group. Hiyuki expresses frustration over Kamunabi’s failure to gather meaningful intelligence on the Hishaku’s true motives, leaving them constantly at a disadvantage.

Chihiro is determined to break this cycle and confront their enemies head-on. In the present, Chihiro prepares for battle against Hirohiko, cloaking himself with the power of his enchanted blade, Nishiki. Hirohiko, excited to face Chihiro, reveals they are the same age and reminisces about learning to kill at the age of three.

He then laments about his inability to find an equal until he met Chihiro, whom he believes shares similar ideals. Chihiro, horrified by the atrocities committed by the Hishaku, rejects this comparison in Kagurabachi Chapter 52. Hirohiko creates a diversion using his origami sorcery and escapes.

He heads to a theater to enjoy a play, while Chihiro is left to fight the Datenseki users alone. Despite the power of the Datenseki stones, Hirohiko knows they are no match for Chihiro’s experience. In the theater, the announcer calls for the “ultimate challenger.”

Just as he says this, Chihiro suddenly drops onto the stage, accompanied by the bodies of his slain foes. Hirohiko remarks that Chihiro appears monstrous to ordinary people, but Chihiro blames him for turning him into one. Kagurabachi Chapter 52 ends with Hirohiko claiming only he can understand Chihiro, while the latter remains indifferent to his words.

Nobel Prize In Literature Goes To South Korean Author Han Kang

South Korean writer Han Kang, was awarded 2024 the Nobel Prize in Literature, “for her intense poetic prose that confronts historical traumas and exposes the fragility of human life.”

The prize is awarded by the Swedish Academy and is worth 11 million Swedish crowns ($1.1 million).

Han Kang was born in Gwangju, South Korea, in 1970. She comes from a literary background, her father being a reputed novelist. She made her literary debut as a poet by publishing five poems, including “Winter in Seoul”, in the winter issue of Munhak-gwa-sahoe (Literature and Society) in 1993. She began her career as a novelist the next year by winning the 1994 Seoul Shinmun Spring Literary Contest with “Red Anchor”. She published her first short story collection entitled Yeosu (Munji Publishing Company) in 1995. She participated in the University of Iowa International Writing Program for three months in 1998 with support from the Arts Council Korea.

Her publications include a short story collection, Fruits of My Woman (2000), Fire Salamander (2012); novels such as Black Deer (1998), Your Cold Hands (2002), The Vegetarian (2007), Breath Fighting (2010), and Greek Lessons (2011), Human Acts (2014), The White Book (2016), I Do Not Bid Farewell(2021). A poem collection, I Put The Evening in the Drawer (2013) was published as well. Han Kang won the International Booker Prize in 2016 for ‘The Vegetarian’.

Her most recent novel ‘I Do Not Bid Farewell’ was awarded the Medicis prize in France in 2023, the Emile Guimet prize in 2024.

Han Kang’s work is characterized by this double exposure of pain, a correspondence between mental and physical torment with close connections to Eastern thinking, the committee said.

Han Kang confronts historical traumas and invisible sets of rules and, in each of her works, exposes the fragility of human life. She has a unique awareness of the connections between body and soul, the living and the dead, and in her poetic and experimental style has become an innovator in contemporary prose, the Nobel Prize committee said.
