CTRL actor Ananya Panday recalls angry mom Bhavana deactivated her Facebook account; ‘I could get it only when…’

Ananya Panday recently featured in Vikramaditya Motwane’s CTRL which showcases how social media can prove fatal if not used vigilantly. The actress, who spends enough time on social media, also thinks that it can affect a person’s mental health. Hence, after she is done promoting her movies and projects, she is considering taking an online detox to protect her sanity. She also revealed how her mother Bhavana made her deactivate her first social media account and allowed her to access it only when she was of legal age.

The young actress was in an interview with PTI, talking about her recently released screenlife movie, CTRL. While speaking about the ills of social media and how it can be detrimental to one’s sanity, Ananya Panday recalled the time when her mom, costume designer Bhavana Pandey, got furious upon knowing that her little girl had a Facebook account which she made secretly. Like every concerned mother, mommy dearest got angry at her daughter and deactivated Ananya’s Facebook account for a few years. “I could get it only when I was the legal age,” the actress revealed.

Further on, the Gehraiyaan actress shared that she had her Instagram account before she became an actor and at that time it was more private. “I’ve always had a lot of fun with it. I kind of have maintained the same thing. I keep it as real as possible,” she stated adding that she posts whatever she wants and doesn’t take it too seriously. While that’s her mantra, her relationship with social media also keeps changing.

Panday went on to state that since she has been promoting the thriller movie, she has been posting a lot because she wants people to watch the movie. “But I think I’m going to be taking that much-needed digital detox because it does affect your mental health,” the SOTY 2 actress concluded. For the unaware, the Vikramaditya Motwane movie also stars Vihaan Samat and is currently streaming on Netflix. Meanwhile, on the work front, Ananya Panday is currently busy filming her next titled Shankara.

‘I’m In A New Place’: Lady Gaga Is Full Of Gratitude For Current Phase In Life After Going Through ‘A Lot’

The last few years have been exceptionally rewarding for Lady Gaga, from winning accolades not just for singing to earning critical acclaim for her acting. The Bad Romance singer also found love in Michael Polansky, now her fiance, as confirmed by the singer in Vogue’s September cover story. With both her love and career thriving, Gaga admitted that she is in the most fulfilling phase of her life.

“I’m in a new place,” the actress-musician told PEOPLE. Noting that she’s been in the industry since her teen years, Gaga acknowledged the highs and lows she experienced in her journey to success. “I’ve been working in the film industry for the last 10 years or so. And, you know, I think that I just went through a lot,” she added.

Behind her record-breaking music, boundary-pushing fashion, and awards — including an Oscar for Best Original Song for Shallow from 2018’s A Star Is Born — there were several challenges she had to overcome. The Poker Face singer’s 2017 documentary Gaga: Five Foot Two captured some of those moments.

“I feel really grateful for the career that I’ve had,” she added. “And I feel so grateful for my fans. Also, I think I had a lot of trouble with it at one point.” The Grammy-winning singer admitted that she’s in a much better place and is grateful to be able to say that.

Continuing her streak of playing titular and tragic characters, Gaga most recently reprised the iconic DC villain Harleen “Lee” Quinzel, a.k.a. Harley Quinn, in the musical drama Joker: Folie à Deux, a sequel to the 2019 blockbuster film Joker. In September, she dropped a companion album to the film titled Harlequin.

The film, written and directed by Todd Philips, unfolds the aftermath of the first film, delving into Arthur Fleck’s time in Arkham Asylum and his encounter with Gaga’s Harley Quinn. Their revolutionary movement, sparked by their antics, is, indeed, something to watch out for. The musical element, a delightful surprise, adds a new dimension to the story.

“Arthur Fleck is institutionalized at Arkham, awaiting trial for his crimes as Joker. While struggling with his dual identity, Arthur not only stumbles upon true love but also finds the music that’s always been inside him,” says the official synopsis.

The highly anticipated Joker: Folie à Deux is currently running in theaters worldwide, winning hearts with its unique blend of drama, music, and iconic characters.

The air show had included a show by the Special Garud Force commandos in a simulated rescue operation and in freeing the hostage.

It also showcased 72 aircraft, including Rafale, indigenously manufactured state-of-the-art Light Combat Aircraft Tejas, Light Combat helicopter Prachand, and Heritage aircraft Dakota.

Around 15 lakh people had gathered at the beach to watch the highly-anticipated air show of 2024.

This is the third time the IAF conducted its air show outside Delhi and the first time in South India. In October 2023, the IAF conducted the air show at Prayagraj, and in 2022, it was held in Chandigarh.
