Vikramaditya Motwane’s dystopian thriller CTRL starring Ananya Panday and Vihaan Samat is receiving a lot of love and appreciation. The film follows Nella Awasthi, a Gen Z girl whose seemingly perfect life spirals into chaos when she turns to an AI app to erase her unfaithful boyfriend. The film has received positive reviews from B-town celebrities and critics alike. Ananya’s girl gang Navya Nanda, Suhana Khan and Shanaya Kapoor supported their BFF while Harsh Varrdhan Kapoor praised the team.

Director Anurag Thakur penned a note appreciating the team and said, “@motwayne is out with another banger . Again pushing the boundaries of technology and storytelling.”

Besides Ananya Panday and Vihaan Samat, the film also stars Devika Vatsa, Kamakshi Bhat, Suchita Trivedi, Ravish Desai and Aparshakti Khurana as the voice of AI. CTRL is streaming on Netflix now.

Alia Bhatt gave a huge surprise to the audience as she attended DJ Alan Walker’s show in Bengaluru. Several videos that have now gone viral on social media, where the actress is seen arriving on stage while the crowd cheers for her. She says, “Namaskara Bengaluru. Surprise, surprise” and waves at the audience. The song Chal Kudiye from Jigra was played in the background as Alia arrived.

Alia was dressed in a blue off-shoulder coord set. She tied her hair neatly in a ponytail.

Popular Marathi actor Addinath Kothare has directed his first feature film, Paani, which is being produced by Priyanka Chopra Jonas under her banner Purple Pebble Pictures. The film, which also sees Kothare in a key role, focuses on the pertaining issue of water scarcity in Maharashtra’s Marathwada.

Kothare plays the role of Hanumant Kendre, popularly known as ‘jaldoot’ or water messenger. The story revolves around how he works towards resolving the issue of water scarcity, instead of fleeing his drought-stricken village.

His struggle and sacrifice for his community are highlighted in the trailer.
