The Brady Bunch Alum Barry Williams Recalls How All The Young Cast ‘Hooked Up With Each Other’ Offscreen

The family-friendly sitcom The Brady Bunch was a massive hit, becoming a household name in the 1960s. The show, which successfully ran for five seasons, revolved around the “misadventures of a large family united when a widower and a widow marry,” as per the synopsis. When the widower architect and father of three, Brady, falls for Carol, a widowed woman with three daughters of her own, their marriage turns a bunch of oddballs into a family.

In an interview with US Weekly, Barry Williams, who played the oldest son, Greg, revealed that the young cast members waded through the same dating pool. “We all hooked up with each other at some point. Not necessarily while we were filming,” he told the outlet.

The actor revealed that he dated Maureen McCormick, who played the oldest Brady daughter, and Chris Knight, who played the middle son. He also hit it off with Eve Plum, who played the family’s middle daughter. Lastly, the youngest of the bunch, Bobby and Cindy, played by Michael Lookinland and Susan Olsen, also hooked up offscreen.

However, despite the offscreen romance, Williams always had eyes for Florence Henderson, who played his mom, Carol, on the show. In fact, in his 1992 autobiography, Growing Up Brady: I Was a Teenage Greg, he talked about his massive crush on his older co-star.

The actor also mentioned details about his “date” with Henderson. He found a singer coming into the Copacabana near Beverly Hills and asked the actress to join him for a date. “She said, ‘OK,’ so I was thrilled. And now for me, it was a date,” he added.

However, they were recognized amidst the crowd and people were whispering about them. Williams admitted that it was “strange,” but they talked about the singer, “his orchestrations, the band he had,” etc. “And she gave me an idea what that life would look like now at the end of the date,” he added. As for the actor, the night’s highlight was the kiss he shared with Henderson. “I did go in for a little kiss and she was nice enough to return it. So it was a highlight. Nice little peck, yes,” he confessed.

That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime Season 4 Renewed With New Movie Project; Deets Explained

That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime is all set to return for a fourth season, alongside a second feature film, as confirmed by Bandai Namco Filmworks, as reported by ANN this week. The announcement was made following the conclusion of the anime’s third season. A video and visual were released to mark this exciting news for fans of the franchise.

The third season of the anime ran for six months, consisting of two cours, a broadcasting format where a season is split into parts. It aired its final episode, the 24th of the season and the 72nd overall, wrapping up on Friday. Crunchyroll streamed the series for global audiences and also provided an English dub version for those who prefer it.

Key production members from previous seasons returned for this third installment. Atsushi Nakayama once again directed the anime at the studio 8-Bit. Toshizo Nemoto, who worked on the spin-off series That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime: Visions of Coleus, supervised the scripts. Meanwhile, Ryōma Ebata reprised his role as character designer, and Hitoshi Fujima from Elements Garden returned to compose the music, a role he had previously held in the movie That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime: Scarlet Bond.

The anime’s journey began in October 2018 with the premiere of its first season, which is an adaptation of Taiki Kawakami’s manga based on Fuse and Mitz Vah’s light novel series. The second season of the anime came out in January 2021, and later that year, the franchise continued with The Slime Diaries, a spin-off series that aired in April. After its run, the second half of season two resumed in July 2021, giving fans nine months of continuous content from the Slime universe.

The franchise also explored the big screen, with the first film, That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime: Scarlet Bond, debuting in Japan in November 2022. Additionally, a three-episode OVA titled That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime: Coleus’ Dream was released in November 2023. This short series is available on Crunchyroll, with both subtitles and an English dub.

Nobody Wants This Star Adam Brody Recalls His First Meeting With Leighton Meester: ‘I Was Smitten Instantly’

Nobody Wants This star, Adam Brody, has spilled details over his first meeting with his wife, Leighton Meester. In one of the unexpected teen drama crossovers, Meester, who played the role of Blair Waldorf in Gossip Girl and Brody, who portrayed the character of Seth Cohen in the O.C., got together and married with kids in real life.

Amidst promoting his recent Netflix series alongside Kristen Bell, the Gilmore Girls actor recalled meeting his wife for the first time in person at Canner’s, a deli in Los Angeles.

Detailing his first meeting to the media portal, Brody revealed that he often used to hang out at the place, and one day the cast of Gossip Girl managed to have a prop party, giving the actor an opportunity to lay eyes on his then future wife.

Brody mentioned, “I saw her and I was smitten instantly.” He further added, “I was smitten for a long time. I didn’t get to know her for many years after, even though we worked together briefly, and she’s so lovely, she’s so sweet, she’s so nice, she’s so good. Yet, you know, and this is to her credit, she remained elusive to me for so long.”

In conversation with Penn Badgley on the Podcrushed podcast, the actor further claimed that Meester tried too hard to not let her feelings for Brody be known. The River Wild actor also revealed that there were many false starts in their relationships, but they made it through the challenges.

Adam and Leighton tied the knot in 2014 in a private ceremony after almost one year of dating each other.

Previously, while sitting down for an interview with Hoda Kotb and Jenna Bush on the Today show, Brody was asked about the secret to his marriage with the Monte Carlo actress, to which he responded, “Pick someone good. Be in love with someone who’s great and listen to them. If you’re with someone great, then you’re on third base.”

He continued to reveal, “It takes sacrifice and humility and you have to grow together, and you have to be willing to grow because you’re not going to be able to stay 100% right where you are, but yeah, if you’re with someone wonderful, then you’re on third.”

Meester, too, in her 2023 interview with E! News, shared that the couple have been super lucky with each other.

Adam Brody and Leighton Meester have been married for the past 10 years and share two kids.
