It’s Time For Marvel Fans To Bring Deadpool & Wolverine Home; Here’s When Film Will Release Digitally

Bring home the two most loved antiheroes of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Deadpool & Wolverine, the globally loved Marvel Studios film starring Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman, is set to be released digitally.

As per a recent report by Variety, the only Marvel Studios film released this year will be out, available for rent or purchase on digital platforms, on October 1, 2024. These platforms include Prime Video as well as Apple TV+.

Meanwhile, the movie that introduces us to our beloved Wolverine again will be released on 4K Blu-ray or DVD on October 22, 2024.

Both digital as well as its physical releases would involve a number of extra featurettes, such as Finding Madonna: Making the Oner, Practical Approach: Celebrating the Art of Ray Chan, and also Loose Ends: The Legacy Heroes.

Talking about Finding Madonna: Making the Oner, it will take the audience on a tour with director Shawn Levy and Ryan Reynolds as they talk about a historical scene; meanwhile, Practical Approach will be a tribute to famous and highly acclaimed Marvel contributor Ray Chan.

Loose Ends: The Legacy Heroes, on the other hand, would be where you will watch the cast and crew of the film go through the many cameos along with a funny gag reel.

The 4K UHD Blu-ray will be released in a special limited-edition SteelBooks®, along with a national sku. These SteelBooks® would have exclusive custom art and packaging.

You have the option to choose from a Steelbook that features Deadpool while the other has Wolverine in focus.

Coming to the Prime Video digital release, it will be included with a few more exclusive features, such as fact-checked insider trivia, pros and cons, and Deadpool doodles.

Deadpool & Wolverine became this year’s one of the highly grossing movies. Leaving behind the collection of the 2019 Joker, the Marvel Cinematic Universe film crossed over $1 billion at the global box office this summer.

While the superhero fanatics went to watch Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine being revived from his retirement, the movie also brought back a lot of other superheroes from our nostalgic days.

Deadpool & Wolverine was the third installment in the Deadpool series while being the first for Marvel Studios to have these great men in action in their universe.

The movie also became one of the first R-rated projects for Disney.

50 Cent Set To Produce Netflix Docuseries About Sean Diddy Combs’ Abuse Case; To Uncover ‘Complex Narrative Spanning Decades’

50 Cent, a.k.a Curtis Jackson, is producing a docuseries arriving on Netflix that examines sex trafficking, racketeering, abuse, and assault accusations against Sean Diddy Combs. The documentary is set to span decades of such allegations against the rapper while exploring how it has impacted the hip-hop culture in general. Jackson highlighted that the series will go beyond the headlines and clips of Diddy’s deeds so far, providing a deeper insight into what has been really going on. The project which is still in the making has Alexandria Stapleton directing it.

Jackson stated to People, “It is a complex narrative spanning decades, not just the headlines or clips seen so far.” Fifty and Stapleton began their joint statement to the outlet by putting great attention on the narrative arc stating that it goes beyond the events that have happened so far and their consequences for more than several decades.

They made clear their resolve to be providing genuine images and untold narratives. Their statement included, “We remain steadfast in our commitment to give a voice to the voiceless and to present authentic and nuanced perspectives.” They also noted that although the claims that have been made against Combs are distressing, his experience is not the full picture of the values and the spirit, that hip-hop in general is offering to the world.

The duo clarified, “While the allegations are disturbing, we urge all to remember that Sean Combs’s story is not the full story of hip hop and its culture. We aim to ensure that individual actions do not overshadow the culture’s broader contributions.”

Fifty’s disaffection for Combs, 54, has been amply clear on social media. The Get Rich or Die Tryin’ rapper despises Diddy’s parties which seem to be the subject of a federal probe. In an elaborate piece for The Hollywood Reporter, he said that he had been avoiding such events because there he finds an uncomfortable energy. He remembered how Combs once oddly asked him to go shopping which made him uncomfortable being around Combs.

Jackson is also notorious for trolling Diddy on social media and interviews. Most recently, he posted a snarky caption writing, “And I don’t have 1,000 bottles of lube at the house” taunting Combs referring to the same number of lubricant bottles confiscated by Feds during raids of his Los Angeles and Miami residences in March. He also shared an image of baby oil on Instagram trolling Diddy for the same.

Sean Diddy Combs is still held on remand at the Brooklyn Metropolitan Detention Center awaiting trial as he was denied the opportunity to post bail on two separate occasions. He is due to appear in court again at the beginning of October. This announcement is the first time that Netflix has publicly acknowledged its involvement in the Diddy documentary series procured by 50 Cent. Its release date and other details are yet to be updated.

How Gaming App Linked To Chinese Nationals Was Used For Rs 400 Crore Fraud

An investigation against an online gaming app has led the Enforcement Directorate (ED) to a Rs 400-crore fraud involving Chinese nationals. The ED has now frozen the accounts of some Chinese nationals linked to the online gaming app, Fiewin. A sum of about Rs 25 crore has been frozen. Earlier, four Indians who allegedly supported the Chinese nationals in the fraud were arrested by officials of ED in Kolkata. The ED was supported by Binance, which operates the world’s largest cryptocurrency exchange, in its probe.

How Fiewin Fraud Worked

The Fiewin app gained traction by promising users the opportunity to earn money easily by playing mini-games, according to a Binance statement. “New users could quickly create an account and begin participating in the app’s activities, with the option to ‘top up’ their in-app balance via various payment methods. However, reports have surfaced suggesting that once users’ accounts accumulated substantial funds, the app stopped allowing them to withdraw the funds, leaving them unable to recover their money,” it added.

The ED’s probe found that a sum of about Rs 400 crore was stolen through this scheme. “This money was transferred into various cryptocurrency addresses, which were later traced back to the operation,” Binance said.

As more and more people got duped by this online gaming app, local police started receiving complaints. The number of such complaints grew, and the case was transferred to the ED, specialised in economic crimes and money laundering cases. The ED’s investigation found Chinese nationals were operating this fraud with the help of some connections in India.

The probe found that the money collected from games would be deposited in the accounts of some people called “recharge persons”. These people allowed their accounts to be used in exchange for some commission from the app owners. This sum was then converted to cryptocurrency and transferred to crypto accounts of Chinese nationals, ED has found.

“Through its investigation, the ED discovered that the app had been part of a cross-border criminal network it used various methods to obfuscate the origin and movement of illicit funds by utilizing bank accounts of ‘mules’ and cryptocurrency wallets, creating a complex web of transactions to hinder detection and tracing,” Binance said.

The Accused

The ED investigation found that Arun Sahu and Alok Sahu from Odisha’s Rourkela were “recharge persons”. The money collected from online gamers would come to their accounts. This money would then be converted to cryptocurrency and deposited into the online wallets of Chinese nationals, the ED has found.

Another arrested accused, Patna engineer Chetan Prakash, allegedly played a key role in converting money in recharge persons’ accounts to cryptocurrency.

Joseph Stalin, a software engineer from Chennai has also been arrested in this connection. Stalin allegedly helped Pie Pengyun, a Chinese national based in Gansu province, become a co-director in a company he owned. ED has found that Pengyun used the account of Stalin’s company Studio 21 for bulk payout services related to the app. This helped them gain the confidence of online gamers in the beginning and prompted them to place larger bets.

“The investigation has led to the arrest of several individuals who played key roles in facilitating the fraud, working in tandem with handlers linked to Fiewin’s gaming apps. The criminals communicated via privacy-focused messaging applications and operated from various locations,” Binance has said.

A Massive Fraud

The investigation so far has found that a sum of nearly Rs 400 crore has been laundered using the Fiewin app. This amount was deposited in the form of cryptocurrency in eight Binance wallets belonging to Chinese nationals. These nationals, ED has found, communicated with the Indian accused — Arun Sahu, Alok Sahu, Chetan Prakash and Joseph Stalin — through the Telegram platform.

With the case still ongoing, both the ED and Binance continue to work closely to further untangle the criminal network behind the fraud scheme. Their combined efforts aim to expose the full extent of the Fiewin app’s fraudulent activities and identify everyone involved,” Binance has said in its statement.
