A Class 6 student in Etah district has been charged with rioting and attempt to murder after a conflict over installing a water tap. The child’s family claims the FIR was filed without primary investigation, ignoring their complaint. Police assure that the child’s name will be removed following further inquiry.

An FIR has been filed against Samajwadi Party MP Awadhesh Prasad’s son Ajit Prasad and others in connection with kidnapping, assault and threat. The incident has been reported by victim Rohit Tiwari in Kotwali Nagar. The matter is related to land deal. In the FIR, Rohit has claimed that he had mediated in getting the land of Shitla Prasad, a resident of Akwara, registered in the name of Ajit Prasad and Lal Bahadur. During this, Ajit Prasad gave one Lakh rupees through a cheque.

The brothers attacked shopkeeper Rajveer Kashyap (50) with a spear, killing him on the spot, police said.
