Did Chris Hemsworth’s Kids Interrupt His Transformers One Recording? Actor Reveals

No one can interrupt Thor, aka Optimus Prime, aka Chris Hemsworth, except his children. While promoting Transformers One, in which Hemsworth plays Optimus Prime, director Josh Cooley gave a glimpse into their “fun” remote recording sessions and credited it to the Furiosa: Mad Max actor’s children.

At the film’s New York premiere, Cooley told PEOPLE that all of Hemsworth’s recordings were done at his house, for which he traveled all the way to Sydney, but it was worth it. However, the actor’s notorious kids left no chance to interrupt their sessions. But Hemsworth, being a great daddy, would stop his work to attend to them.

“His kids would come running into the room occasionally, and he’d be like, ‘Oh, hold on, let me get lunch for him,’ or whatever it was,” the director recalled. “But it was great. It was so super chill, and he’s a phenomenal, great guy,” he added.

The Thor: Love and Thunder actor shares three children, twin sons Sasha and Tristan and daughter India Rose, with wife model Elsa Pataky. The actor recently attended the Australian premiere of Transformers One with his family except daughter Indie Rose. The much-awaited animation film is a prequel to the previously released Transformers series.

It tells the origin story of brothers-in-arms Optimus Prime (voiced by Hemsworth) and Megatron (Brian Tyree Henry) and their journey to eventually becoming sworn enemies. At the Comic-Con earlier this year, Hemsworth revealed that he first consulted with his kids before taking on the role of Optimus.  “I had gone to my kids and said, ‘What do you think?’ And they said, ‘You have to do it,’” he told PEOPLE. “They were in the background as I was recording a lot of these lines. They were kind of yelling suggestions or trying to distract me,” he added.

The franchise also plans to do a G.I. Joe crossover. When asked about Hemswoth’s involvement in the future film at Entertainment Weekly’s Comic-Con Studio, the actor replied that he doesn’t know yet. “I keep getting asked about that,” he added.

Transformer One is set to hit the theaters on September 20.

George Clooney Had Fun Talking ‘On Top Of Each Other’ With Brad Pitt In Wolfs; Calls Acting With Him ‘Easy’ From The Get Go

George Clooney and Brad Pitt’s bromance started from the get-go in the sets of their upcoming thriller comedy Wolfs. At the film’s TCL Chinese Theatre premiere in Los Angeles on September 18, Clooney, 63, and Pitt, 60, talked about reuniting on screen after a long time and reigniting their camaraderie.

“I’m too old to hit a curve ball, but I think that’s an automatic, too. Never going to be a straight answer or straight delivery,” Clooney says about the Fight Club actor with whom he’s famously collaborated on films like Ocean’s trilogy and Burn After Reading. “No, from the minute we got there, it was just easy to do it again,” he added.

But one thing that the actor and filmmaker loved while working with Pitt was getting to talk on top of each other. “[It] was pretty easy to do because it was fun,” he said. Helmed by Spider-Man: Homecoming director Jon Watts, the story follows two fixers, played by Pitt and Clooney, who are hired for the same job and are forced to work together. “Over one explosive night, they’ll have to set aside their petty grievances — and their egos — to finish the job,” says the official synopsis.

At the carpet, when PEOPLE asked the former Sexiest Man Still Alive title holders about the advice they would give to future candidates, Pitt replied, “This is the Sexiest Man Still Alive,” referring to Clooney. “Yes, exactly. That’s going to be starting now. I know,” the latter added.

In response, the Batman and Robin actor quipped he tried to get the American Association of Retired Persons (AARP) to start Sexiest Man Alive titles. He later recalled having the t-shirt with the title. “I have the T-shirt, by the way. Somebody else got it. Yeah, all I got was a T-shirt,” he added.

Wolfs will release in theaters on September 20 and stream on Apple TV+ from 27 September onwards.

Ammunition From India Diverted To Ukraine? What Government Said

Dismissing a report by news agency Reuters claiming that ammunition sold by Indian manufacturers has been diverted to Ukraine by European customers and New Delhi did not stop the trade, the Ministry of External Affairs has termed it “inaccurate and mischievous”.

Answering questions on the report, MEA Spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said on Thursday, “We have seen the Reuters report. It is speculative and misleading. It implies violations by India, where none exist and, hence, is inaccurate and mischievous.

Emphasising that India has an impeccable track record of compliance with international obligations on the export of military and dual-use items, Mr Jaiswal added, “India has been carrying out its defence exports taking into account its international obligations on non-proliferation and based on its own robust legal and regulatory framework, which includes a holistic assessment of relevant criteria, including end-user obligations and certifications.”

In its report, Reuters cited conversations with eleven Indian and European government and defence industry officials and an analysis of commercially available customs data to claim that artillery shells sold by Indian arms manufacturers had been diverted to Ukraine by European customers and the Indian government did not intervene to stop the trade despite protests from Moscow.

The report said the supply of munitions, which have helped Ukraine in the war against Russia, had been happening for over a year and the Kremlin had raised the issue with India at least twice, including in July, during a meeting between Foreign Minister S Jaishankar and his Russian counterpart Sergei Lavrov.

It said Indian arms export regulations specify that weaponry can be used only by the declared purchaser and future sales to them can be stopped if there are unauthorised transfers.

“Two Indian government and two defence industry sources told Reuters that Delhi produced only a very small amount of the ammunition being used by Ukraine, with one official estimating that it was under 1% of the total arms imported by Kyiv since the war. The news agency couldn’t determine if the munitions were resold or donated to Kyiv by the European customers,” the report said.

“Among the European countries sending Indian munitions to Ukraine are Italy and the Czech Republic, which is leading an initiative to supply Kyiv with artillery shells from outside the European Union, according to a Spanish and a senior Indian official, as well as a former top executive at Yantra India, a state-owned company whose munitions are being used by Ukraine,” it added.
