In a recent police raid at Bengaluru Central Prison, authorities seized mobile phones, cash, and other banned items. The operation followed a viral photo showing actor Darshan with rowdy-sheeters inside the prison. Consequently, twelve prison officers were suspended, and Darshan was transferred to another facility. The incident underscores persistent corruption issues in the prison.

The West Bengal government, under chief minister Mamata Banerjee, has once again invited protesting junior doctors for a meeting at her residence to discuss their demands for better security and administrative reforms. This fifth invitation assures that the meeting will be recorded but not live-streamed due to pending legal matters.
