Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video: Is Rajkummar Rao and Triptii Dimri starrer inspired by Jake Kasdan’s film Sex Tape? Director Raaj has THIS to say

The trailer of Rajkummar Rao and Triptii Dimri’s Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video was released a few days ago. Ever since then a certain section of the internet felt that the movie might be loosely inspired by Jake Kasdan’s film Sex Tape. Now, in an interview with PTI, VVKWWV director Raaj Shaandilyaa has dismissed all such assumptions and said that his Hindi comedy doesn’t have any ‘sex’.

“I was told by one of our writers that in that film their video goes viral on the Internet. The video in our film is made by the couple and they lose the CD because of their negligence,” Raaj said adding that the characters in his story are different and it has nothing to do with Sex Tape. “I’ve not even seen Sex Tape. I didn’t get inspired by it, rather I got inspired by life and the people around me,” Raaj added.

Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video has been co-written and directed by Raaj Shaandilyaa and is produced under T-Series, Balaji Motion Pictures, Wakaoo Films, and Kathavachak Films. Other than Rajkummar and Triptii, the comedy also stars Vijay Raaz, Mallika Sherawat, Mast Ali, Archana Puran Singh, Mukesh Tiwari, Saharsh Kumar Shukla, Archana Patel, Rakesh Bedi, Tiku Talsania, and Ashwini Kalsekar in key roles.

Raaj Shaandilyaa in the same interview said that he is already working on the sequel of his upcoming film which would revolve around the early days of the Internet. “Where this film ends, we’ve got a sequel, which will be set 10-15 years later, when the advent of the Internet has happened. We’ve written the story. We will shoot this film after I make another film,” Raj expressed.

For the unversed, the inspiration for Vicky Vidya… came from co-writer Yusuf Ali Khan with its screenplay starting to get drafted in 2018. Raaj said while he wanted to work with Rajkummar Rao for the longest time, the casting of Triptii Dimri happened out of a hunt for a fresh pairing and that she was signed for this one much before the Animal phenomenon happened to her.

Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video is all set to hit theatres on October 11, 2024.

Akshay Kumar and Twinkle Khanna’s birthday posts for ‘kind and loving’ son Aarav are too endearing to miss; PICS

Akshay Kumar and Twinkle Khanna’s son Aarav is celebrating his 22nd birthday today. On the special occasion, the proud parents poured their hearts out and posted the most beautiful wish for the apple of their eye.

Today, on September 15, Akshay Kumar shared a special birthday post for his son Aarav on his 22nd birthday. In the post shared on his Instagram handle, the actor shared a beautiful picture from their vacation, enjoying a jungle safari with his family.

The sun-kissed picture featured the couple sitting in a Jeep. While Akshay and Aarav looked away from the camera, Twinkle Khanna was seen looking from the binoculars. If you look closely, Nitara was also seen sitting in the back seat.

Expressing the sweetest birthday wish for his son, Akshay wrote, “Happy Birthday Aarav! Watching you grow into the kind and loving person you are fills my heart with pride every single day. Words can’t do justice to how much joy you bring into my life. May this year bring you as much happiness as you give to everyone around you. Love you always,” followed by a red heart and a hug emoji.

In addition to this, Twinkle Khanna also dropped a birthday wish for her son with a picture featuring them flashing wide smiles. “Happy birthday Aarav When I used to listen to you repeatedly tell me how much you were looking forward to your independence, I would feel that when you finally leave my home and step into your own, my lights will go off automatically and my world will be filled with a bleak darkness,” she wrote.

She further continued by writing, “When you would return for a visit, I would light numerous diyas and pretend that this was not a permanent power failure; we were just celebrating Diwali.”

“But I didn’t realise then that someone who lives in your heart never leaves even when they change their longitude. My world lights up with every phone call, every message, even if it’s about dirty laundry,” she wrote on a concluding note.

What ‘Ally’ Congress Said About Arvind Kejriwal’s “Will Quit” Announcement

Arvind Kejriwal’s emotional appeal to the people of Delhi — made ahead of an election that’s less than a year away — has left ‘ally’ Congress unmoved. Barbs have been flying at the Chief Minister — who announced that he would quit the post he held for a decade within 48 hours — from all directions, especially Delhi and poll-bound Haryana.

In both states the local leaders of the Congress have made it clear that the alliance with the Aam Aadmi Party stands at the Central level. The fight in the states is on, and no quarters will be given.

Delhi Congress leader Sandeep Dikshit, whose mother Sheila Dikshit was a three-time Chief Minister of the national capital, could not keep the rancour away.

“Why didn’t Kejriwal resign earlier if this is what he wanted to do? He didn’t do so because he was insecure about his party people working without him being there,” Mr Dikshit added.

Terming Aam Aadmi Party a “party of theatrics” he alleged that there is a “lack of trust within the party and it shows”. “Whoever Kejriwal decides upon to be in charge it will be because he is out and he can control the decisions still… Kejriwal has done much damage to Delhi. This is of no consequence or impact,” added the leader.

Asked about the collapsed alliance in Haryana, a repeat of what happened in Punjab last year, he said, “We have been very clear that we’re going ahead in Delhi and Haryana elections by ourselves”.

“Wherever the Congress is strong, AAP follows… They don’t have the guts to contest in Bengal or in the South,” he added.

Delhi Congress’s Ajay Maken, who had been a strong opponent of any alliance with AAP, rubbed it in. “The only competition for Congress in Haryana is the BJP. We want to urge the people of Haryana, that when only BJP and Congress stand face to face in the state, if you vote for any other party, it will benefit the BJP. If anyone wants to vote against BJP, they should vote for Congress, otherwise, it will benefit the BJP,” he said.

Over the last decade, AAP has indeed been growing at the cost of the Congress, starting with Delhi where they ended Sheila Dikshit’s three-term rule shortly after the anti-corruption movement led by Gandhian Anna Hazare.

The footholds AAP has carved out in Gujarat and Goa have also been on the turf of the Congress, which had been the major Opposition party in these states.

Jannayak Janata Party’s Digvijay Chautala said the decision appears to have been made in view of the elections in Haryana. “Now Arvind Kejriwal will be active in Haryana politics,” he said.

Mr Kejriwal, two days after being granted bail, announced today that he would quit the Delhi top post in 48 hours.

While this appears to be the only option in view of the strictures laid down by the Supreme Court, AAP has taken it as an opportunity to test the waters in Delhi, where assembly election is due next year.

“I will not sit on that chair till the people announce their verdict. Elections in Delhi are months away. I got justice from the legal court, now I will get justice from the people’s court. I will sit on the Chief Minister’s chair only after the order of the people,” Mr Kejriwal had said after a series of internal meetings of the party.

Corruption allegations against Mr Kejriwal and other leaders of his party have turned the tables on AAP, born out of an anti-corruption movement. It has played havoc with optics and the Congress, especially, has been enjoying the irony.

“It is his will, if he can be the Chief Minister in jail, he can remain the Chief Minister outside as well. Maybe, there are other matters that are more serious that need to be addressed,” said Congress’s Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury.
