THROWBACK: When Shah Rukh Khan told Kajol ‘I owe you my life’ for saving him from falling off a waterfall while shooting Dilwale’s Gerua song

Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol came together after years in the 2015 movie Dilwale. The audience was already anticipating a lot from the Rohit Shetty movie which also starred Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon. While two veteran actors had a gala time shooting with each other after years, they also faced several challenges during the making of the song Gerua. In a video shared by SRK’s Red Chillies Entertainment, Kajol revealed saving King Khan from falling off a waterfall.

Before the movie Dilwale was officially released on December 18, 2015, the makers dropped a behind-the-scenes video from the making of the song Gerua featuring Kajol and Shah Rukh Khan. The clip shared on Red Chillies Entertainment’s official YouTube channel showed the fun and struggles of the team, including Rohit Shetty and choreographer Farah Khan. It also had a clip from when the actress saved King Khan’s life.

During the interview, SRK also admitted that Ajay Devgn’s wife Kajol saved his life. To this, the Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham actress added, “Yes, and you would not have survived the waterfall if I had not caught you right in time.” Acknowledging the same, the Pathaan actor added, “Thank you very much for saving my life” to which she said, “You owe me now.” Shah Rukh gave a smile to her when she said this and stated, “I owe you my life. Meri zindagi ab tumhare naam ho chuki hai. (My life is now yours.)”

The romantic song Gerua is composed by Pritam and sung by Arijit Singh and Antara Mitra for the Gauri Khan production. While the four stars lead the show, they are joined by a supportive cast of actors Pankaj Tripathi, Mukesh Tiwari, Varun Sharma, Boman Irani, Vinod Khanna, Kabir Bedi, and Johnny Lever.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Shah Rukh Khan is all set to commence shooting for his upcoming action movie, King. The Sujoy Ghosh directorial also stars Suhana Khan as SRK’s protégé. The movie marks her debut on the big screen after kickstarting her acting journey with the teen musical The Archies, which premiered on OTT.

‘I Started Getting Phone Calls’: Dave Bautista Lands His Own Rom-Com After Viral Comments About Being ‘Unattractive’

Dave Bautista has been cast for an upcoming rom-com after his comments over being unattractive. In conversation with Page Six last January, the actor opened up about never getting an opportunity to play a soft character like in the romance movies.

Moreover, Bautista also questioned his looks and asked if there was anything unappealing about him. Meanwhile, a year later, the actor has confirmed to be a part of the new romance film. He shared to have received multiple phone calls for the movie offers, and he had to filter out the options.

During the promotions of his new film, The Killer’s Game, Bautista revealed to The Hollywood Reporter that his viral comments “sparked quite a conversation, but I started getting a lot of phone calls after that.”

The actor recalled, “I said that and started getting calls immediately. So we’ve got a couple that we’re developing that are actually really funny.” He went on to add that he is “making my way there, like a full-on rom-com. Not like an action rom-com, a full-on rom-com.”

Talking about romance, the actor shared the insights of his character in The Killer’s Game, where he got to have a fling onscreen with his co-star, Sofia Boutella. It will be the first time in Bautista’s career of acting that he will portray a leading man with love interest.

Speaking of his role in the movie, the Guardians of the Galaxy actor stated that he was initially a bit hesitant over taking up the role. He said, “It was nerve-racking for me; I’m hoping people receive it well, still a little self-conscious about it. It was a challenge that I wanted; and I accepted.”

He went on to add, “It was a couple of years ago where I said to myself I need to stop taking so many supporting roles, and I need to seek out lead roles, even if I have to create lead roles for myself.”

“It’s funny, I want to be a bigger star so I can make smaller films, that’s my goal. Those are the films I love. But the fastest route to that is being a commodity; if you’re a big star, you’re a commodity.” Bautista explained.

As for the rom-com, details have not been let out by the actor. Meanwhile for his action movie, the actor will fight hitmen while being an assassin himself.

The Killer’s Game will hit theaters on September 13.

In Congress’ 3rd Haryana List, 2 Leaders Who Had Already Filed Nominations

Releasing its third and biggest list for the Haryana Assembly so far, the Congress has named candidates for 40 of the state’s 90 Assembly constituencies. The list includes Aditya Surjewala, who is the son of Congress’ Rajya Sabha MP Randeep Singh Surjewala, as well as two people who had filed their nomination from the constituencies they wanted to represent even before their names were announced by the party.

With the third list released on Wednesday, the party has named candidates for 81 seats in all, leaving a question mark only on nine remaining seats. The announcement came on a day when the BJP released its final list of three candidates for the polls.

Aditya Surjewala has been fielded from the Kaithal Assembly constituency, from where his father and Congress General Secretary has been elected an MLA at least twice.

From the Palwal constituency, former chief minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda’s in-law Karan Dalal has been given a ticket and so has Vikas Saharan, son of party MP Jai Parkash, from the Kalayat Assembly constituency. Both of these leaders had filed their nominations before their names were announced by the Congress.

From the Kosali Assembly constituency, the party has denied a ticket to Rao Yaduvender Singh, brother of BJP’s Gurgaon MP and Union Minister Rao Inderjit Singh, and fielded Jagdish Yadav instead. Rao Yaduvender Singh had contested from the constituency in 2019 and lost by a margin of over 38,000 votes.

In the third list, five women have got tickets – Pearl Chaudhary from Pataudi, Anita Yadav from Ateli, Sumita Virk from Karnal, Pooja Chaudhary from Mulana and Parag Sharma from Ballabgarh. Pooja Chaudhary is the wife of Varun Choudhary, who won from Mulana in 2019 and was elected the MP from Ambala in this year’s Lok Sabha elections.

Chander Mohan, the elder son of former chief minister Bhajan Lal and a former deputy minister in the Bhupinder Singh Hooda government, has got the ticket from Panchkula. Sombir Singh, the son-in-law of another former chief minister, Chaudhary Bansi Lal, has been fielded from the Badhra seat.

Voting for all 90 seats in Haryana will take place on October 5 and counting will be held on October 8. The BJP is hoping to retain its hold on power in the Hindi heartland state, which it has ruled since 2014, but is facing a challenge from a resurgent Congress.

What has made the contest more interesting is the fact that the state’s 10 Lok Sabha seats were split evenly between the Congress and the BJP this year after the BJP’s clean sweep in the 2014 general elections.
