Dhanush’s ‘red card’ issue resolved, actor to work on new project and settle payments: REPORT

The Tamil Film Producers Council (TFPC) had earlier issued a red card against Dhanush, citing unprofessional behavior. The actor was accused of abandoning projects despite receiving advance payments from the producers. However, the issue has finally resolved as the council lifted the red card against Dhanush.

According to recent reports, the red card imposed on Dhanush has been canceled by the TFPC. The actor has also agreed to do a film with Thenandal Films. He will also be returning a substantial amount to 5 Star Creations to mark an end to the dispute.

For the unversed, if a red card is issued against an actor, then he or she is barred from working with any producers in Tamil cinema until the disputes are resolved. In Dhanush’s case, the actor was accused of completing a film with Thenandal Studio Limited despite accepting an advance payment from the makers.

According to a report on News18, the film council had stated, “In the situation where Dhanush has received advance payments from several producers, the producers are requested to consult the Tamil Film Producers Association before starting work on new films starring actor Dhanush.”

Nevertheless, the issue has finally been resolved, and fans can expect an exciting project featuring Dhanush in the future.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Dhanush recently delivered a blockbuster hit, Raayan. The film marked his second directorial after the success of Pa Paandi.

Currently, Dhanush is working on his film with Sekhar Kammula, titled Kubera. The film is touted as an action drama film starring Rashmika Mandanna and Nagarjuna Akkineni in prominent roles. Kubera is expected to showcase the life of a homeless man who becomes a wealthy mafia leader.

Alongside these projects, Dhanush is also gearing up for the release of his third directorial titled Nilavuku En Mel Ennadi Kobam. The romantic comedy film will feature  Pavish, Anikha Surendran, and others in pivotal roles.

‘I’m Not Focused On…’: Beyoncé Reveals Why She Frequently Steps Out Of The Spotlight

Supergirl Beyonce needs no introduction! The icon has established her position as one of the biggest stars of the showbiz industry with her charisma, beauty, energetic performances, wit, and much more. But have you noticed that the singer remains much away from the limelight except for album promotion and tours?

The Grammy Winner spoke to GQ for the magazine’s latest cover story about why she wishes to retreat from the public eye in between promotional cycles for new projects.

“I only work on what liberates me. It is fame that can at times feel like prison,” continued Beyoncé. “So, when you don’t see me on red carpets, and when I disappear until I have art to share, that’s why.”

She further told the outlet that when she makes music, she does not strive for perfectionism; instead, she expressed that “I focus on evolution, innovation, and shifting perception.”

The star said that she only loves to work on what liberates her with a creative personality and hence loves to create and deliver to the audience at her own pace. Her idea has always been to motivate people to look within themselves and come to terms with their creativity, strength, and resilience.

Before 2022’s Renaissance, the album that preceded 2024’s Cowboy Carter in an ongoing trilogy, the Destiny’s Child alum hadn’t released a brand-new solo album since 2016’s Lemonade.

The superstar admitted that she had worked on Cowboy Carter before Renaissance in a press release issued alongside the country project as per PEOPLE.

Toward the end of the interview, the pop star said that she was happy to be able to take the time and grace to be able to deliver good work to her fans instead of running behind the urgency culture, which teaches creative minds that if you do not produce good work, more frequently you won’t be relevant.

Furthermore, she noted that she wanted to release the album Cowboy Carter out first, but with the pandemic, there was too much heaviness in the world and it did not seem like the best time to put out the groovy tack, considering the volatile circumstances.

Protesting Doctors Get Invite To Meet Mamata Banerjee Over RG Kar Case

The West Bengal government has invited doctors protesting over the rape and murder at RG Kar Medical College for a meeting with Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee at 6 pm today. A letter by Chief Secretary Manoj Pant suggested that the delegation of doctors meeting the Chief Minister comprise 12-15 members.

Earlier, the protesting doctors had said they were open to a meeting with the Chief Minister. The doctors have been protesting outside Swasthya Bhawan, the state health secretariat. Their demands include action against those guilty in the August 9 rape-murder of a 31-year-old doctor, those involved in an alleged cover-up, and the resignation of top officials, including the Kolkata Police Commissioner and Health Secretary.

Doctor Aniket Mandal, a representative of the doctors, said they have come to know from media reports that the Chief Minister is ready to meet them. “To clarify this, we will send a mail to the CM’s office and put forward our demands. We want to talk to the Chief Minister,” he told NDTV.

Today is the 33rd day of the Kolkata doctors’ protest over the rape-murder incident that has shaken the country. In the aftermath of the incident, allegations of massive corruption within the state healthcare apparatus have emerged. Dr Sandip Ghosh, former principal of RG Kar Medical College, has been arrested by the CBI in connection with alleged financial irregularities in the hospital.

The protesting doctors are demanding the removal of top officials of the state health department, including health secretary Narayan Swaroop Nigam.

Earlier, the state government said it had written to the protesters and invited them for a meeting at the state secretariat ‘Nabanna’ to find a way out of the impasse. But the doctors said the mail for the meeting was from the state health secretary, whose resignation they are seeking. They termed this “insulting” and objected to the state government restricting the number of protesters attending the meeting to 10.

The doctors are defying the Supreme Court’s directive to return to duty by 5 pm on September 10. The court had asked the doctors to rejoin duty and asked the state government to not take any action against them.

But the doctors have said they would not rejoin work till their demands are met. They have put up sheds, arranged fans and food and water, indicating that they have no plans to back off till their demands are met.

Besides the resignation of police commissioner Vineet Goyal and top health officials, the doctors are demanding safe working conditions for healthcare staff in the state’s hospitals.

The protests in Kolkata and other parts of Bengal have erupted after a 31-year-old postgraduate trainee doctor was found raped and murdered in a seminar room of RG Kar Medical College and Hospital on August 9. One person has been arrested in this connection and the CBI is investigating the matter.
