The Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao-led Stree is continuing with its historic box office trend in India. According to estimates, the Amar Kaushik-directed horror comedy collected Rs 23.00 to 23.50 crore in its fourth weekend, taking total collections to Rs 523.50 crore. With this the Dinesh Vijan and Jio Studios produced film has emerged as the second highest-grossing film of Hindi cinema, going past the lifetime collections of Pathaan (Rs 513 crore) and Gadar 2 (Rs 515 crore).

The Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao starrer will now be chasing the lifetime collections of Jawan to emerge the #1 Hindi Film of all time. For those unaware, Jawan collected Rs 555.50 crore at the box office in Hindi, and with another 3-week run, Stree 2 has a shot of topping the numbers and emerge an all-time grosser in Hindi language. The film is an all-time blockbuster, probably the biggest in terms of ROI in the last decade or so.

The trend from Monday will give an insight into the chances of the film to top the Rs 555 crore number, as it’s going to be a race to the finish. There is National Cinema Day coming up on 20th September and it could be this day when Stree 2 creates history to emerge the biggest grosser ever in the Hindi language. Every day and every crore will count from hereon as it’s an exciting race to create history.

Janhvi Kapoor and Varun Dhawan created Bawaal when they collaborated last year on Nitesh Tiwari’s romantic drama film. The stars have again joined hands and are currently busy shooting for their upcoming entertainer, Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari hitting theaters on April 18, 2025.

A couple of days ago, the star cast along with other actors headed to Udaipur to shoot a schedule in the city. A while ago, they were spotted exiting the Mumbai airport together where Kapoor sneaked out when Dhawan was mobbed by his fans.

Karan Johar produced movie, Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari, is currently being filmed across the country. On September 8, the lead actors, Janhvi Kapoor and Varun Dhawan arrived together probably after wrapping up the Udaipur schedule for them.

The two celebs were walking together towards the exit when the Bhediya actor was mobbed by his female fans. As he halted to click pictures with them, the Mili actress continued walking out. She told the paps in Hindi, “Main nikalti hu sumdi mein” in the viral clip.

The Creative Arts edition of the Emmy Awards has kicked off at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles, and Angela Bassett has bagged her first ever Emmy award in the category of the Outstanding Narrator for the National Geographic documentary, Queens.

Following the announcement, the actress stepped up on the stage to receive the trophy and shared emotional words with the audience present at the event. Bassett also gave an interview to the media personnel who were waiting for the winning star of the night. 

The Black Panther actress talked about how much the award meant to her, especially after giving her 100% in the project. Bassett stated to the media outlets, “This is one of the big ones, and that doesn’t usually happen.”

She continued to say, “Whenever you’re acknowledged, I’m just, you know, a girl who just wanted to act. My mentors were way out ahead of me. I just looked to them and got inspiration and hope, and I just put my focus, my energy and my love to try to make it happen in my life and for my life.”

After taking a pause from her popular show, 9-1-1, Bassett went on to agree to lend her voice for the documentary. Revealing about what made her choose the different path, the actress joked that she was tired of being portrayed as a cop.
