Salaar director Prashanth Neel’s reaction to Minnal Murali star Tovino Thomas’ ARM’s trailer raises excitement

Tovino Thomas, who became a fan-favorite after Minnal Murali, is all set for the release of his upcoming film Ajayante Randam Moshanam (ARM). In the film, the actor will be seen playing three different roles of Maniyan, Kunjikkelu, and Ajayan. Recently, director Prashanth Neel, known for his films like KGF, watched the trailer of ARM and could not hold back his excitement for the pan-India fantasy film.

For the unversed, the team of ARM met with filmmaker Prashanth Neel in Mangalore. There, the director watched the trailer of the Tovino Thomas starrer and praised the entire team for their efforts. He also lauded the visuals of the film along with Tovino’s three unique looks and the director’s ambitious vision. Now, several photos of their meeting is going viral on social media.

ARM is an upcoming fantasy film directed by debutant Jithin Laal. The film will hit the big screens on September 12. Fans are excited about this project as it marks Tovino Thomas’ 50th film. Also, the actor will showcase three different looks in the movie with timelines set across the 1900, 1950 and 1990.

Taking about ARM and its potential sequel, Tovino Thomas told Pinkvilla, “If this film works out, we will have plenty of options for prequels and sequels.”

He further shared the challenges he faced while portraying three different characters and said, “It feels great, and taking on triple roles isn’t something that’s easy to pull off. I don’t consider myself an actor who can do whatever he wants or take on any character that comes his way, but I try my best. I strive for perfection, though achieving perfection is one thing, and striving for it is another. Still, I give whatever it takes within my limits to make it work.”

Meanwhile, on the work front, Tovino Thomas will next be seen in the much-awaited film Identity co-starring Trisha Krishnan. On the other hand, Prashanth Neel is gearing up for his film with Jr NTR.

Ketamine Queen Jasveen Sangha’s Lawyer Denies Her Link to Matthew Perry’s Death; Vows To Unravel Truth at Trial Set for March 2025

An attorney representing Jasvin Sangha, aka the Ketamine Queen, has claimed that the accused drug dealer had no connection to Matthew Perry’s demise from a drug overdose last year. The statement from Sangha’s lawyer comes amid the court setting March 4, 2025, as her trial date in the case.

When asked about the mystery link between Perry and Sangha, her lawyer, Mark Geragos, appearing on the Today show on Wednesday, September 3, said: “There’s no mystery; she isn’t connected to Matthew Perry at all.” The lawyer, further defending his client, added that she’s being made into something that she isn’t.

“People like to make her out into something that she isn’t, but there’s a whole different side here, a story to be told, and it will be told at her trial,” he noted.

Sangha faces one count of conspiracy to distribute ketamine, one count of maintaining drug-involved premises, one count of possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine, one count of possession with intent to distribute ketamine, and five counts of distribution of the said surgical drug.

She pleaded not guilty to all charges at the time of her arrest last month.

Perry, for those who may not know, was found dead in the hot tub of his Pacific Palisades home on October 28, 2023. His live-in assistant, Kenneth Iwamasa, who was arrested and charged alongside Sangha, revealed last month that the actor took several doses of ketamine on the day of his death.

Others charged in Perry’s death case are Dr. Salvador Plasencia, Dr. Mark Chavez, and another drug dealer, Eric Fleming. While Iwamasa and the latter two pleaded guilty to charges against them upon their arrest, Salvador, like Sangha, pleaded not guilty. Hence, he’ll be going to court alongside her, who could face a life sentence upon conviction next year.

United States Attorney Martin Estrada said of Sangha and Plasencia: “These defendants cared more about profiting off of Mr. Perry than caring for his well-being.”

The prosecution is determined to bring Perry’s criminals to justice and set an example for other drug dealers playing with people’s lives via the high-profile case.

“If You Don’t Like India…”: Delhi High Court’s Tough Talk For Wikipedia

The Delhi High Court on Thursday issued a contempt of court notice to Wikipedia, the popular and free online encyclopaedia, over withholding information about edits to an entry on news agency ANI. The court warned Wikipedia against non-compliance with Indian laws, declaring “if you don’t like India, please don’t work in India… we will ask government to block your site.”

The court was hearing a case filed by ANI claiming defamation by Wikipedia for allowing certain edits to a page with information about the news agency. The alleged edit referred to ANI as “the propaganda tool” of the Indian government. The court had ordered Wikipedia to reveal details about three accounts that made the edits, but ANI claimed today this has not been revealed.

This was after ANI reportedly pointed out Wikipedia had not, in fact, said the three individuals, also named in the case, were not editors.

In its defence Wikipedia told the court the release of the information had been delayed pending submission of certain documents from its side, which, in turn, was delayed because Wikipedia is not based in India.

However, Justice Navin Chawla seemed unimpressed.

According to a report by legal news website Bar and Bench, the judge said, “It is not a question of the defendant not being an entity in India. We will close your business transactions here. We will ask the government to block Wikipedia… Earlier also you took this position.”

“If you don’t like India, please don’t work in India… We will ask government to block Wikipedia in India.”

The matter has been posted next for October, for which the court has ordered that a representative of the company be present.

In July the Wikimedia Foundation released a statement on the case filed by ANI, identifying itself as a “technology host” and explaining it does not add to or edit content published on Wikipedia.

This content is “determined by its global community of volunteer editors… who compile and share information on notable subjects”, the Foundation said.

Wikipedia faces damages claim of Rs 2 crore from ANI, which has also sought directions to remove the edits and prevent publishing of such content in the future.
