Throwback: When Johnny Depp Revealed Reason Behind Daughter Lily-Rose Depp Skipping His Wedding With Amber Heard

Johnny Depp and Amber Heard have parted ways, but there was a time when the two stars shared a strong bond of love and respect. However, Johnny’s daughter, Lily-Rose Depp, chose not to attend the wedding of Johnny Depp and Amber Heard.

Johnny Depp, who faced legal troubles when Heard accused him during court trials, has reflected on his wedding day and mentioned his daughter, who appeared in the movie The King. According to a report by PEOPLE dated April 20, 2022, the actor spoke about his marriage to Amber Heard.

“My daughter Lily-Rose did not come to the wedding. She and Ms. Heard were not on particularly great terms, for several reasons,” the highly acclaimed actor stated while standing in the courtroom.

Johnny Depp and Amber Heard got married in February 2015. This happened during an intimate celebration on the Transcendence actor’s private island in the Bahamas.

The highly appreciated actor spoke of his daughter not taking part in the nuptials — whom he shares with another great actress Vanessa Paradis — in the courtroom of Fairfax, Virginia.

According to the report by the aforementioned outlet, the nuptials had around 20 to 25 people in attendance, as stated by the Murder on the Orient Express star. Regarding Lily-Rose Depp, back in 2022, the famous actress addressed the “nepo baby” claims that had spread all over the internet.

The daughter of Depp and French star Vanessa Paradis claimed that she is a “nepo baby”, while also stating that although she comes from a family of stars, with the blessing of being the daughter of two of the most loved actors, “nothing is going to get you the part except for being right for the part.”

As per Variety, she then stated that people these days on the internet care a lot about a person’s background rather than why they were selected for the role and who had cast them in their movie.

The actress also added that even if you come from an acting background, the star has to still work a lot. Johnny Depp was recently seen in the international movie Jeanne du Barry, which was released in 2023. In it, Depp starred as King Loius XV.

Throwback: When Angelina Jolie Revealed She Wrote By The Sea Movie To ‘Explore Grief’

One of the most talked-about couples of the 2000s, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie—lovingly called “Brangelina” by fans—are trying to settle their ongoing divorce battle in 2024. They share six children, including Shiloh, 22; Maddox, 19; Zahara, 19; Pax, 20; and twins Knox and Vivienne, both 15.

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt met on the set of the 2005 film Mr. & Mrs. Smith, where they played a married couple. Their on-screen chemistry sparked rumors of a real-life romance, which they later confirmed. They also starred together in another film called By The Sea (2015).

Jolie once revealed in a 2015 interview, before the film’s release, to PEOPLE and Entertainment Weekly that the real inspiration behind the film was the loss of her mother, Marcheline Bertrand.

The actress said she wanted to explore grief and hence she decided to do the film. “Much of the film and my character are very much about my mother and my feelings about my mother,” she recalled in the interview back then.

Jolie further added that each character in the film represented a different approach to dealing with grief. Some have yet to face it, some manage to come to terms with it, while others are overwhelmed by it.

Jolie’s mother, Bertrand, who was the ex-wife of Jon Voight, died in 2007 following a nearly eight-year battle with ovarian cancer. Following this, actor Niels Arestrup, who plays the bartender in the classic, convinced Jolie to write and direct the film.

Brad Pitt and Niels Arestrup praised the actress for writing such a nontraditional film. Jolie, who loved working within an independent film structure, found freedom to say what she wanted through this film.

As of 2024, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s divorce remains unresolved, despite being eight years in the making. Although they were legally declared single in 2019.

According to PEOPLE, On the work front, Brad Pitt is currently busy shooting for his upcoming Formula 1-based film, and Angelina Jolie recently premiered her movie Maria at the Venice Film Festival, portraying opera singer Maria Callas in the biopic.

Although the bitter divorce proceedings have shifted the dynamics between the two and their kids, fans will still cherish their old timeless classic for life.

“He Was Chasing Car”: Mother Of ‘Cow Vigilante’ Behind Student’s Killing

It’s been nearly two weeks since a Class 12 student was mistaken for a cattle smuggler and killed by five people in Haryana’s Faridabad. While the Faridabad Police has maintained that it has no evidence so far to prove that the attackers were ‘cow vigilantes’ or associated with any organisation that is engaged in such work, NDTV spoke to the mother of the main accused, who has belied their claims.

Not only has the mother admitted that her son is a “cow protector” but she has also said that he was chasing the car in which the student was killed. Maintaining that her son is innocent, she said that he was not the one who fired the bullet that killed the student and held up his work in “cow protection” to illustrate his good behaviour.

The chain of evidence does not end there. NDTV went to the office of the main accused, where people said that he is well known as a cow vigilante, and also found YouTube videos posted by his organisation ‘Live for Nation’ where its members are seen engaging in activities related to cow protection. Some videos also show cow vigilantes chasing people in cars.

Mistaken Identity

On August 23, Aryan Mishra, a student from Faridabad was travelling in a Renault Duster with his friends, including two girls, when his car was chased by five men – Anil Kaushik, Varun, Krishna, Adesh, and Saurabh – who had mistaken them for cow smugglers.

The men tried to get the Duster to stop but Mishra and his friends chose to drive on because they thought goons had been sent after them. The men caught up with the Duster and opened fire, hitting Aryan twice, leading to his death. When the men saw the two girls in the car, they realised that they had made a mistake and fled.

Anil Kaushik, who is the main accused in the case, and the four others were later arrested by the Faridabad Police.

Not Cow Vigilantes?

Speaking to NDTV on Tuesday, Assistant Commissioner of Police (Crime) Aman Yadav from the Faridabad Police said they have no evidence so far to indicate that Kaushik and the others are cow vigilantes or linked with any such organisation.

NDTV visited Kaushik’s house in Faridabad the same day and spoke to his mother, who gave details not only about his work in “cow protection” but also the chase he was involved in on August 23.

“Yes, my son was chasing that car that night. He told me he thought there was a cow smuggler in the car. He also said that the first bullet was fired from the Duster. But he did not fire any bullets, I don’t know whose bullet hit him (Aryan Mishra). My son is innocent. He protects cows and serves society,” she said.

NDTV also saw two vehicles parked in the compound of Kaushik’s home. The first, a Mahindra Bolero, had ‘Gau Raksha Dal’ written on it while the second was a cow ambulance with the names of Kaushik and ‘Live for Nation’ emblazoned on it.

The address for the office of ‘Live for Nation’ is Parvatiya Colony in Faridabad and when NDTV went there, it found the board outside said ‘Kaushik Properties’. People in the area around the office also said Kaushik is a cow vigilante and pointed to a vehicle parked near the office which was used in such activities.
