Sandip Ghosh, the ex-principal of R G Kar Hospital, claims he was informed of the PGT doctor’s death around 10.20 am on August 9. He missed an earlier call at 10 am. Authorities are investigating timeline discrepancies and the involvement of unrelated people at the hospital. Additional polygraph tests and inquiries are underway.

The SIT investigating sexual abuse allegations in the Malayalam film industry recorded a Kozhikode native’s statement, accusing director Ranjith of abusing him at a Bengaluru hotel in 2012. The complainant presented evidence and claimed the director took nude photos. The SIT also recorded a junior artist’s statement about Edavela Babu’s misconduct.
