Big update on Thalapathy Vijay’s political party Tamizhaga Vettri Kazhagam to be revealed on THIS day; check details

Thalapathy Vijay is set to officially launch the flag and anthem of his political party, Tamizhaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK), on August 22 at the party headquarters in Panaiyur, Chennai. The event will take place around 9.15 AM in the morning. This marks a significant milestone in Vijay’s transition from the film industry to active politics as he gears up for the 2026 Tamil Nadu Assembly elections.

The event, which is expected to be attended by over 300 TVK functionaries, will see Vijay hoisting the party flag on a 30-foot pole. The flag is rumored to feature Vijay’s image within a red circle on a yellow background, a color that symbolizes equality in Tamil culture.

The party anthem, composed by popular music director S Thaman with lyrics penned by V Vivek, will also be released during the ceremony.

Vijay’s TVL shared a statement on their social media handles announcing the same. The English translation of the statement read, “It is a great blessing if every day is a new direction and a new force in history. 22nd August 2024 is the day that God and nature have given us as such a boon.”

“Working for the welfare of Tamil Nadu, I am happy to announce that tomorrow we will introduce our hero flag, the victory flag, which will become the symbol of our state, in our headquarters secretariat, release the party flag song and hoist the party flag. Our flag will fly across the country from tomorrow. Tamil Nadu will be better from now on. Victory is sure,” the statement concluded.

Vijay, who announced the formation of TVK in February 2024, has made it clear that he will not support any political party in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. Instead, he is focused on strengthening TVK’s grassroots infrastructure over the next two years and contesting the 2026 assembly polls under his party’s banner.

Meanwhile, the actor is currently gearing up for the release of his upcoming film titled The Greatest of All Time. Directed by Venkat Prabhu, the movie will release in theaters on September 5. Vijay will also feature in Thalapathy 69 before embarking on his political journey.

‘They Always Look Out For Me’: Adam Sandler Says His Daughters Encourage Him To Take Better Care Of His Health

There’s a common saying that health is wealth, and it looks like popular comedian and actor Adam Sandler’s kids take it quite seriously. While speaking to PEOPLE at the New York City premiere of his Netflix comedy special “Adam Sandler: Love You” on August 20, 2024, the popular personality revealed that his daughters Sadie, 18, and Sunny, 15, encourage him to look after his health.

“They always look out for me and my health just like I used to with my dad,” Sandler says. “You go, ‘Man, I want this guy around,’ so I used to scream at my dad to quit smoking, and my kids scream at me to just calm down and try to eat a little more like a normal person,” he humorously added.

This came after the actor revealed on The Joe Rogan Experience podcast sometime at the beginning of this month that Sadie suggested he get the same trainer he had during filming for his 2008 movie You Don’t Mess with the Zohan.

Later, he opened up about his fitness struggles and admitted that his body could not support him to exercise like he used to before. He acknowledged that he did gain some weight as he only played basketball and then ate afterward, hinting that it’s incredibly difficult to stay in shape as one ages.

He further recalled how his daughter Sadie keeps telling him to get back his previous trainer from the 2008 film and questions him on why he let him go in the first place. “I just can’t get back in there… She’s right about everything [but] I don’t promise her. I go, ‘Let me think about that; that’s a good idea,'” he added.

Sandler’s daughters Sadie and Sunny, whom he shares with his wife Jackie Sandler, have appeared in several of their father’s films over the years, including his 2020 Netflix movie Hubie Halloween. But it wasn’t until 2023 that they landed starring roles.

Like her older sister, Sunny has appeared in several of her father’s movies, including Grown Ups, Blended, and Murder Mystery. In addition to her acting roles, Sunny also has a passion for singing. In June 2019, she performed a song from The Greatest Showman onstage during one of her father’s comedy shows.

Meanwhile, Sandler also loves his two adorable girls immensely and does not fail to show love with sweet gestures for them. For instance, he took his daughters to the Los Angeles premiere of Taylor Swift’s concert film, and following the screening, the pop icon posed for some photos with the two girls.

Song Joong Ki and Chun Woo Hee to team up for a new K-drama

Song Joong Ki and Chun Woo Hee are all set to star together in an upcoming K-drama. The studio behind the project revealed that the two will play the leads in the series which is tentatively titled MY YOUTH.

As per reports on a leading news portal, MY YOUTH is a romantic drama in which Song Joong Ki will play novelist and florist Sunwoo Hae. Meanwhile, Chun Woo Hee will play Sung Je Yeon, a woman who sacrifices her first love to find success.

The plot will revolve around the two characters who share a history and reunite after a span of over a decade. Sung Je Yeon finds Sunwoo Hae in her pursuit of success after her family loses their wealth.

Song Joong Ki was last seen in My Name Is Loh Kiwan while Chun Woo Hee was last seen in Unlocked.
