Former Indian cricket team captain Sourav Ganguly changed his social media profile pictures to black, showing solidarity with protests demanding justice for a trainee doctor raped and murdered at RG Kar Medical College. Ganguly clarified his earlier comments about Kolkata’s security, emphasizing it was a terrible incident and urged severe punishment for the culprits.

Speaking to News18, Dr Sarkar said that he only questioned as to what the investigating agencies were doing in his video and was trying to convince doctors to come to work.
