Sara Ali Khan is one of the most popular young actresses in Bollywood in recent times. She is celebrating her 29th birthday today, August 12, 2024. While Sara received heartwarming wishes from her family members, she also received a lot of love from the film industry including actors Ananya Panday, Vicky Kaushal, Ayushmann Khurrana, and others. Ananya even asked her bestie to ‘eat that cake.’

Ananya Panday took to her Instagram Stories and dropped a stunning picture with Sara Ali Khan on the special occasion of her birthday. In the photograph, the duo was seen sitting inside an eatery. While Ananya relished her dessert with her eyes closed, Sara posed for the camera with a huge piece of cake on her plate.

Ananya wished Sara, stating, “It’s your birthday!!!! Be happy and eat that cake and then some more. @saraalikhan95 love you!!”

Vicky Kaushal, Sara’s co-star in the rom-com Zara Hatke Zara Bachke, dropped a cute picture of the birthday girl. He said, “Happy Birthday @saraalikhan95! May you continue to witness the best sunrises, sunsets and full moons in life. Lots of love!”

Laila Majnu Re-Release Box Office: Imtiaz Ali film scripts history; Crosses original run in 4 days flat

Laila Majnu, presented by Imtiaz Ali, directed by Sajid Ali and starring Triptii Dimri and Avinash Tiwary was not well received in theatres when it released back in 2018. The movie only managed to collect around Rs 2.20 crore nett in its original run and was classified a theatrical disaster. The romantic-tragedy got its due on digital and eventually became a cult. 6 years after its release, Laila Majnu was re-released in theatres courtesy the lack of new releases and the results were shocking, in a great way.

Laila Majnu Finds A New Life In Re-Release; Crosses Collections Of Original Run In 4 Days; Monday Extraordinary

The movie in its re-release collected Rs 30 lakh on Cinema Lovers Day. It then grew by 150 percent on Saturday to add Rs 75 lakh and then collected Rs 1 crore on Sunday, taking the weekend total to Rs 2.05 crore. The biggest shocker was when the Triptii Dimri and Avinash Tiwary film netted Rs 60 lakh on Monday, a number double of its opening day. PVRInox has contributed Rs 2.40 crore (gross). With this, the four day total of Laila Majnu in its re-release stands at Rs 2.65 crore. In just four days, Laila Majnu in its re-release has crossed the collections that it registered in its original run. Going by how the movie is trending, it’s hard to put a number of how much the movie will make in its second innings. Yes, there are many Independence Day releases but the Imtiaz Ali presentation should get decent showcasing to keep putting up numbers.

Jab We Met is one of the most successful Indian films in re-release, Rockstar fired all guns earlier this year and now Laila Majnu is doing what it couldn’t, when it first released in theatres. The thumping reception to his re-releases only shows that his brand of cinema has found whole-hearted acceptance.

Nagarjuna Akkineni’s blockbuster film Mass to re-release in theaters ahead of his 65th birthday; check details

Fans of Nagarjuna Akkineni are in for a treat as his blockbuster film Mass is set to re-release in theaters. Mass holds a special place in Nagarjuna’s career, as it was one of his highest-grossing films at the time of its release. Recently, the makers announced that the film will re-release in theaters a day before his 65th birthday.

Making the announcement, they wrote, “#Mass4k returns on August 28th on the occasion of KING @iamnagarjuna’s Birthday. Brace yourselves to experience our KING #AkkineniNagarjuna in his most electrifying mass avatar, on the big screen.”

Mass is a 2004 Telugu action thriller film directed by Raghava Lawrence and produced by Nagarjuna under Annapurna Studios. The film stars Nagarjuna in the lead role alongside Jyothika, Charmy Kaur, Raghuvaran, and Rahul Dev. With its high-octane action sequences, engaging storyline, and powerful performances, Mass became a blockbuster hit and one of the highest-grossing films of Nagarjuna’s career.

The film revolves around Mass, an orphan who shares a close bond with his best friend Aadi. Mass falls in love with Anjali, a college student and the daughter of Satya, a powerful crime boss in Vizag. However, Anjali’s brother Seshu, a ruthless don, tries to keep them apart. In a tragic turn of events, Aadi is killed while trying to stop Seshu from separating the couple before their wedding.

Enraged by his friend’s death, Mass takes on a new identity as Ganesh and infiltrates Satya and Seshu’s criminal empire to seek revenge. He systematically eliminates the mafia members, leading to a thrilling climax where he confronts Seshu and reunites with Anjali.

Meanwhile, Nagarjuna was last seen in the film titled Naa Saami Ranga. Currently, he is gearing up for the release of his upcoming film with Dhanush and Rashmika Mandanna, titled Kubera. The film is directed by renowned filmmaker Sekhar Kammula.
