Daredevil: Born Again Gets Major Update At D23 Expo With New Footage And Cast Reunion Ft Charlie Cox, Vincent D’Onofrio And Others

Daredevil: Born Again happens to be the most anticipated series being worked on by Marvel Studios. While the fans of the original Netflix series and Man Without Fear have been awaiting a piece of news related to the street-level superhero, the D23 Expo 2024 filled them with excitement.

The attendees at the highly acclaimed event, which is being held from August 9 to 11, got a first and fresh look at their beloved lawyer, Matt Murdock. The footage that was shown at the D23 Expo also happens to be pretty “grimy and nasty,” as per Slash Film.

The outlet also stated that the new Disney+ series would have the same tone as the Netflix one, as Daredevil is seen beating guys to the point of being numb in the latest footage.

The first look at Daredevil: Born Again opens with a scene where Matt Murdock is brooding and is seemingly a legal representative for another Marvel superhero character, White Tiger.

For those unaware, White Tiger is a vigilante with power gained from a magical tiger-themed amulet.

However, the trailer also brings in Muse, an infamous Daredevil villain with a similar black-and-white costume to the White Tiger.

It seems like Bullseye, one of the archnemeses of Daredevil in comics, who was shown in season 3 of the Netflix series, will be in prison during the initial stages of Daredevil: Born Again, as per The Direct.

While someone tells Matt Murdock, “People need a hero,” from behind the prison glass, the D23 footage also shows Wilson Fisk standing on a rooftop, giving a sinister look, according to Slash Films.

We are all in for a treat as John Bernthal is reprising his role as The Punisher alongside Charlie Cox’s Daredevil. In the latest footage shown to the attendees of the D23 Expo, The Punisher is seen pushing Matt against a locker while also raising a hatchet to hit him.

Soon we see Wilson Fisk beating a guy to the ground and Matt opening a cabinet filled with Daredevil masks, all in different colors.

Both Matt and Wilson Fisk meet in a diner, during which the antagonist asks the lawyer, “This caution you’re giving me, who’s it from? Matt Murdock, or your darker half?”

Daredevil: Born Again brings back the most beloved cast, including Cox and Bernthal, along with Vincent D’Onofrio as Wilson Fisk, aka the Kingpin, and Deborah Ann Woll as Karen Page, as well as Elden Henson, who returns as the best friend of Matt Murdock, Foggy Nelson.

Daredevil: Born Again is set to premiere on Disney+ in March 2025.

Blink-182 Cancel Concerts in Kansas City and St. Louis Due to ‘Illness’; Details Here

Rock band Blink-182 has canceled their scheduled concerts in Kansas City and St. Louis owing to health issues. Taking to X (formerly Twitter), the band’s official account released their official statement regarding the cancellation of the shows as part of their ongoing One More Time tour. “Unfortunately, due to illness, we are unable to make it to Kansas City and St. Louis,” reasoned the band in a collective statement regarding their shows on August 9 and 10.

The rockers took into account the concertgoers’ concern over the return of payments, as they addressed it in the post as well. They assured them that the refund amount would be credited immediately if the purchase of the tickets happened through Ticketmaster; otherwise, if bought through third parties, the issue must be raised with them.

“We are so sorry and hope to see you next time,” the message concluded.

This is one of the recent occurrences when the band has canceled their shows due to such circumstances. In the past, the group has called off performances due to similar reasoning, the latest of it being the cancellation of their Mexico performances back in April, as Billboard reported. The band’s bassist Mark Hoppus was reported to be going through an acute throat infection and severe bronchitis.

“We don’t take canceling lightly. We know people booked flights, hotels, made plans, got babysitters…” Hoppus addressed at the time through his discord account, revealing that they had lengthy talks with the managers to figure out the possibility of a reschedule but it could not be sorted out. “We tried to move the date, we looked for solutions, but this is the reality,” he concluded his message, extending his gratitude and support to the fans.

The band recently performed at the Lollapalooza Chicago- something which gained negative traction from music commentators. One such review caught the eye of member Tom DeLonge, who sardonically responded to it via his Instagram. “Oh my god, I’m dying hahaha f***, I love this band,” he wrote in the caption.

In BMW Hit-And-Run In Mumbai, Blood Report Throws A Big Challenge To Cops

The forensic report of the 23-year-old accused in the hit-and-run case in Mumbai’s Worli involving a luxury BMW sedan, contradicts claims that he was drunk at the time of the horrific collision.

No trace of alcohol has been found in the blood and urine samples of Mihir Shah despite police sources suggesting he was “heavily drunk” when he was driving the BMW.

The collision had claimed the life of a woman early July 7 morning while her husband was injured.

Protocol in suspected drink driving cases is to administer alcohol tests, but these can be ineffective 12 hours after the last drink. But Shah, whose father was a member of Chief Minister Eknath Shinde’s Shiv Sena faction – now suspended, had evaded arrest for two days.

The police had said that Shah was arrested about 58 hours after the incident and this gap was enough for alcohol to be flushed out of his body. After his arrest, his blood and urine samples were sent for examination. The report was received by the Worli police yesterday.

A ‘positive’ forensic report – suggesting he was drunk – would have helped the cops but now they will now have to rely on circumstantial evidence while presenting the case in the court.

In the July 7 incident, Shah had allegedly rammed his speeding BMW into a two-wheeler in the Worli area. The impact was severe, causing their bike to overturn and throwing both the husband and wife onto the bonnet of the car. To save himself, the husband managed to jump off the bonnet. But his wife, Kaveri Nakhwa was dragged for 100 metres by the car as it tried to flee the scene. She was declared dead at a hospital while her husband Pradeep suffered injuries.

The husband had downplayed Shah’s arrest and pointed out the odds were still stacked against him in his family’s search for justice.

“We are poor. Who is there to support us… today, he will be sent to jail. Tomorrow he will be produced in court and then he will get bail,” he had said.

Besides Shah, his politician father, mother and two sisters were also taken into custody. Rajshri Bidawat, the driver of Shah who had allegedly swapped seats with him before the incident, was also arrested.

Mihir Shah and his friends had partied at a Juhu bar, where he spent Rs 18,730, before he took the wheels of the BMW.

The bar, which was later sealed, had claimed they were provided with a false ID identifying him as a 27-year-old since the legal age for drinking is 25 in Maharashtra. Shah had a second round of drinks too, police sources had earlier told NDTV.
