Ulajh Opening Weekend Box Office: Janhvi Kapoor film collects Rs 4.70 crore; Shows a jump but…

The Janhvi Kapoor, Gulshan Devaiah and Roshan Mathew led political thriller, Ulajh, has seen an upward trend at the box office over its opening weekend, yet, the numbers are not good enough for the feature film. According to early estimates, Ulajh has collected in the range of Rs 4.75 crore in its opening weekend, with Sunday being the best day since its release. As per early trends, Ulajh has collected Rs 1.80 to 1.90 crore on the third day.

The Janhvi Kapoor film opened at Rs 1.25 crore on Friday, and jumped by 40 percent to Rs 1.65 crore on Saturday, and consolidated that with a Sunday of Rs 1.85 crore. While the numbers are low, a moral victory of sorts for Ulajh rides in the fact that it has managed to narrow its gap with Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha, which is a much bigger film with a bigger star-cast.

Even in terms of the numbers, the film is just trailing by 80 lakhs from the Ajay Devgn and Tabu film, and there is a possibility for Ulajh to score a Monday higher than the competitor. Having said that, the overall result is still a failure as these numbers are too low, and the film is not going anywhere from this weekend.

In an optimistic scenario, the Janhvi Kapoor film will clock a lifetime figure of Rs 12 crore, with a pessimistic prediction under Rs 10 crore. The actress will next be seen in Devara and Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsikumari, and both the films are much more commercial than the ones she did in the last few years.

Josh Hartnett Is ‘Hardcore’ Taylor Swift Fan After Attending Eras Tour Concert With Daughters: ‘This Is A Little Over The Top…’

Josh Hartnett is making headlines as he stars as a serial killer named Cooper in the newly released M. Night Shyamalan’s psychological thriller film Trap. The film follows Cooper, who attends a pop music concert of Lady Raven with his teen daughter (Ariel Donoghue). However, he realizes they are at the center of a much darker event as the FBI sets up a trap to catch the Butcher at the event.

In a recent interview with PEOPLE magazine, Hartnett revealed that he attended Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour concert in London with his daughters after he finished filming his movie.

The actor shared that before the concert, he didn’t understand the level of excitement and dedication fans had for music concerts, noting, “Some of the stuff, while we were filming, I was thinking, ‘God, this is a little over the top, the amount of the fervor of the audience, and they know every word.”

Hartnett said he thought the fandom depiction seemed excessive, but after he went to her concert and noticed the environment, he realized it was all justified, saying, “I became well-versed after the movie.”

The Oppenheimer actor also shared that his kids weren’t into pop music when they filmed Trap last year. He explained that when they heard about the Eras Tour from their friends at school, because they were all “into the concept, they just immediately became Swifties — and really hardcore Swifties.”

Hartnett mentioned that because of his daughters, they listened to her music for “six months nonstop” in the car before he finally took them to her show.

During his candid conversation with the outlet, Josh Hartnett also revealed the Taylor Swift album he and his kids enjoyed listening to the most, noting, “The album that they play a lot at our house is 1989, and I like that album. It’s a good album.” The actor then said that the fun part of being a father is that your kids introduce you to “new things” you never knew you’d be interested in, and you end up doing things you wouldn’t do for yourself.

Anti-Immigration Protests Rage In UK, Northern Ireland, Dozens Arrested

Police arrested dozens of people after protests across parts of England and Northern Ireland turned violent on Saturday, as the government pledged tough action against those it said were exploiting the murder of three girls to stir up disorder.

Violent protests involving hundreds of anti-immigration groups have erupted in towns and cities across Britain after three girls were killed in a knife attack at a children’s dance class in Southport in north-west England last week.

The murders were seized on by anti-immigrant and anti-Muslim groups as misinformation spread that the suspect was a radical Islamist migrant. Police have said the suspect was born in Britain. Media reports have said his family was Christian.

On Saturday, violent disorder broke out in cities around the country, including Liverpool, Bristol, Hull and Stoke-on-Trent, as well as the town of Blackpool, with local police saying they had arrested at least 87 people. There was also unrest in Manchester and Belfast.

Shops and businesses were vandalised and looted, a library in Liverpool was set on fire and several police were injured, police statements said.

“Criminal violence and thuggery on our streets will not be tolerated,” interior minister Yvette Cooper said late on Saturday.

“Police forces have my full support in ensuring that those who engage in criminal disorder face the strongest possible penalties.”

Saturday’s protests were the most widespread after several days of disorder following the murders. Prime Minister Keir Starmer has said they are the result of deliberate actions by the far-right, co-ordinated by a “group of individuals who are absolutely bent on violence,” rather than legitimate protest.

The last time violent protests erupted across Britain was in 2011 when thousands of people took to the streets after police shot dead a Black man in London.

There are more demonstrations planned for Sunday, based on messages circulating on social media.
