Lisa Cloud, Mother Of Angus Reflects On His Struggles Year After Euphoria Actor’s Death

Angus Cloud, who played the role of a chill and lovable drug dealer, Fezco, in the acclaimed series Euphoria, passed away one year ago, on July 31.

The actor was found dead in his bedroom, and as per the reports, he died from acute intoxication after an accidental overdose. Recalling the actor, his mother Lisa Cloud, has opened up about how Angus was a person who suffered a lot in his life.

Talking to PEOPLE, while also giving the outlet a tour of Angus’s bedroom, Lisa stated that her son was a creative person.

The mother was showing the art that her son had created while coming to a table with splattered paint and saying, “This is where my boy passed away.” Recalling how she found out her son was unconscious, Lisa at first thought that Angus had just passed out, but when she went to wake him up, Lisa pushed him hard, which made Angus’s body fall to the floor.

She was screaming, recalled the mother, stating that Angus was the love of her life. As per Lisa, he struggled a lot after his after his father died. The report also suggests that the late actor was not able to cope with the loss of his father.

The mother also reflected on why he started using drugs, which was to relieve the pain from fierce headaches after a traumatic incident at the age of 15. Back then Angus Cloud had fallen into a construction pit and woke up after 12 hours with a brain hemorrhage.

He also underwent surgery after which he was prescribed pain medication, which became his first introduction to opioids.

Talking about Angus Cloud, Sam Levinson, the creator of Euphoria also stated that he tried to get Cloud help.

While preparing for the second season, Levinson told Cloud that although they are heading into an amazing season, he needs to get help.

As per PEOPLE, HBO paid for Angus Cloud’s treatment as he entered a 30-day in-patient program. Post-rehab, he continued to be in outpatient rehab for three more months.

Talking to the outlet, Levinson also stressed that Cloud did not want sobriety as much as people around him wanted it for him.

Levinson also recalled Cloud putting on a signature red hoodie that Zendaya had worn for the series and hopping into a car with Levinson and his wife, midway into the second season. While they were planning to put him in rehab again, it all didn’t work out.

Before season 3 of Euphoria, in 2023, Levinson recalled another long talk at Cloud’s home, even when the actor refused to take part in it. This was around the time his dad passed away in May 2023, which had a deep impact on Cloud again, making him turn to drugs.

Following all of this, Angus Cloud died. The fans and friends of Cloud have outpoured their love by decorating a casket in his honor while he was cremated.

Jace argues that trueborn Targaryens have nothing special about themselves, tied to the doctrine of Targaryen exceptionalism, created by King Jaehaerys to justify marrying among themselves to keep their lines pure. This change in Jacaerys’ role from Fire & Blood is significant.

According to this doctrine, Targaryens are closer to gods than to men, so they are allowed to do things ordinary people aren’t. They carry the legacy of Old Valyria, they shoulder the burden of leadership, and they have the power to ride dragons, all of which justifies their inbreeding. But dragonseeds are a direct confrontation to this idea, because they are not trueborn Targaryens.

Instead, they are all either half Targaryens, or even less. In Addam’s case, he isn’t a Targaryen at all. Also, bastards aren’t usually raised in castles, and all the ones called by Rhaenyra come from the streets of King’s Landing. However, they may not be seen as equals to Targaryen highborns, especially Jacaerys, a prince who has always lived with the shadow of being an unofficial bastard, and Rhaena, a trueborn Targaryen who never claimed a dragon. This may be difficult for dragonseeds to adjust to due to their sudden rise in social ranks.

Hamas Military Chief Mohammed Deif Killed In Gaza Strike: Israel

The Israeli military on Thursday announced that Hamas military chief Mohammed Deif had been killed in a strike it carried out last month in Gaza’s southern area of Khan Yunis.

The military’s confirmation it had killed Deif comes a day after the killing of Hamas chief Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran, which was announced by Iranian Revolutionary Guards and Hamas.

“The IDF (Israeli army) announces that on July 13th, 2024, IDF fighter jets struck in the area of Khan Yunis, and following an intelligence assessment, it can be confirmed that Mohammed Deif was eliminated in the strike,” a military statement said.

“Deif initiated, planned, and executed the October 7th massacre,” the military said of the Hamas attack on southern Israel that resulted in the death of 1,197 people, according to an AFP tally based on official Israeli figures.

Health authorities in Hamas-run Gaza said at the time of the July 13 strike that it killed more than 90 people but Hamas denied Deif was among them.

The suspected 2,000-pound bomb (900 kilogrammes0 around the house where Deif was said to have taken refuge with one of his deputies had left a giant crater.

The head of the Ezzedine al-Qassam Brigades, Hamas’s armed wing, Deif had been among Israel’s most wanted man for nearly three decades and on a US list of “international terrorists” since 2015.

The military said Deif had over the years carried out several attacks against Israel.

Deif operated along with Yahya Sinwar, the head of Hamas in Gaza, the military said.

“During the war, he commanded Hamas’s terrorist activity in the Gaza Strip by issuing commands and instructions to senior members of Hamas’s military wing,” it added.

During the Hamas attack militants also seized 251 people, 111 are still held captive in Gaza, including 39 the military says are dead.

Israel’s retaliatory military campaign since then has killed 39,480 people, according to the health ministry in Hamas-run Gaza, which does not provide details of civilian and militant deaths.
