Sharvari Wagh recently took to social media to notify that she has begun shooting for Alpha, in which she is starring alongside Alia Bhatt. The actors play super agents in the movie.

The movie’s final release date hasn’t been revealed yet.

The Bengali film industry has come to a standstill as technicians and film directors are currently locking horns. The clash between the two sections started when technicians refused to work under director Rahool Mukherjee who was temporarily “banned” for three months for not seeking the Director’s Guild’s permission to film an OTT project in Bangladesh. The issue escalated after he was told to give technicians from West Bengal “double the pay” for working on a “foreign” series for a Bangladeshi platform.

However, now the technicians refused to show up for his latest directorial venture despite the Directors Guild’s approval for Mukherjee to work. The first day of shooting was disrupted, which has now urged the directors to go on a strike to support their colleague, Rahool.

The Directors Association of Eastern India has noted that they would cease work from Monday onwards to demand a proper resolution for this unfortunate tiff.

Filmmakers including Aparna Sen, Kaushik Ganguly, and Srijit Mukherjee have publicly supported the strike while using hashtag #directorsinsolidarity on social media. Many directors also gathered at Prosenjit’s Ballygunge home to discuss the need for laws that can keep changing with changing times.

“This is not a clash between directors and technicians. We are like family. But we need to review if what we follow can be called laws,” actor-filmmaker Kaushik Ganguly commented on the issue.

The Directors’ Guild has also sent out a message to its members in Bengali. It reads, “Giving importance and respect to the sentiments and opinions of the majority of the directors, the executive committee of the organization requests that the members will remain absent from all shooting floors in Bengali from tomorrow (29/12/2024) until the problems of the directors are resolved amicably.”

Vedang Raina, on the other hand, stunned the crowd in black sherwani with intricate work. It came with a high neckline and long sleeves.

Khushi and Vedang have also made public appearances together before. They were photographed together during Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s wedding festivities. However, the two haven’t confirmed their relationship yet.
