Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde-led Shiv Sena sacked Rajesh Shah, father of Worli hit-and-run accused Mihir Shah, as deputy leader. Rajesh was arrested for destroying evidence and later bailed. The accident killed Kaveri Nakhwa. Shiv Sena MLA Aaditya Thackeray demands Mihir be tried for murder, criticizing the delay in his arrest and alleging police lapses.

The high court had earlier stayed the trial court’s June 20 order by which Kejriwal was granted bail in the case.
