The death toll due to the consumption of spurious liquor in Tamil Nadu’s Kallakurichi district has shot up to 61. As many as 118 people have been receiving treatment at different hospitals after the hooch tragedy unfolded in Karunapuram village on June 18.The rise in deaths came even as the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) took a suo moto cognisance of the same, and issued notices to the Tamil Nadu Chief Secretary and the Director-General of state police, seeking a detailed report on the incident within a week.

Today in the court, the CBI lawyer suddenly said that Arvind Kejriwal has washed his hands off the matter and has put the entire blame on Manish Sisodia, to which Arvind Kejriwal himself said that the CBI is lying and I have not said anything like this, Manish Sisodia is innocent, I am innocent and Aam Aadmi Party is innocent. When the judge asked for a statement from the CBI and read it, he himself said that Arvind Kejriwal did not give any such statement and the CBI’s claim is false, the only reason behind doing all this is to create sensation in the media and to destroy Aam Aadmi Party. In court, the judge himself admitted that there is no co-ordination between what the CBI says and the evidence it is presenting, only flip-flops are being made on the orders of the BJP.Aam Aadmi Party has explained many times with facts how ED is filing chargesheets on the basis of fake witnesses, this is just a conspiracy to tarnish the image of Aam Aadmi Party.
