Cybercrooks continue to pose a threat online, using tactics like deepfakes and AI-enabled misinformation. In Gujarat, 1.59 lakh cybercrime applications were made between Jan 1, 2020, and May 15, 2023, highlighting the importance of awareness against cyber threats.

Mayawati has made the decision to reinstate her nephew, Akash Anand, as the party’s national coordinator and her designated successor. This move comes in the wake of the BSP’s disappointing performance in the recent Lok Sabha elections.The announcement was made following a meeting convened by Mayawati, who previously served as the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, to assess the party’s electoral results in the 2024 general elections. In May, Mayawati had taken the step of removing Anand from his positions as national coordinator and her successor.

The officials said that the CBI registered a fresh case against unidentified persons on a reference from the Union education ministry.
