An ex-Maoist leader’s daughter, Sunita, overcame poverty to pursue civil engineering diploma at Gadchiroli Govt Polytechnic College after her father’s surrender and family’s relocation to a sheltered colony.

Sangeeta Patel, along with Jaya, Darshana, Pramila and Kavita, are among the first few women auto drivers in the city, who will be riding pink autos. At least 80 more women have enrolled in Mumbai to get pink autos
