Kalki 2898 AD: Kamal Haasan waited 3 weeks for Amitabh Bachchanâs Sholay
Kalki 2898 AD is one of the most anticipated films of the year. Directed by Nag Ashwin, the sci-fi film features Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, Deepika Padukone and more. The film’s cast got together for an event in Mumbai ahead of its release.
At the event today, Kamal Haasan took to the stage with Amitabh Bachchan as the latter handed him the first-day first show ticket for Kalki 2898 AD. Kamal then went on to recall his excitement for Sholay.
“I waited three weeks to watch that film. I know there are many fans who waited ike me to watch Sholay. And I never thought I’d be here to receive the first day, first show ticket from Mr. Amitabh Bachchan.”
He added, “I was a film technician, now I’m an actor. It’s like nothing has changed.”
Kalki 2898 AD will release on June 27, 2024.
