The Jammu terrain is a difficult one with huge ups and downs in the mountains and movement is, hence, easy for terror groups.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi officially opened the new campus of Nalanda University, situated in Rajgir, Bihar. The newly constructed campus will be located in close proximity to the ancient ruins of the original university. Prior to the inauguration ceremony, PM Modi took the opportunity to explore and observe the remnants of the historic Nalanda University. Established in the 5th century, Nalanda University was a renowned center of learning that attracted scholars from all over the world.

On June 23, 1985, the Air India flight from Canada to India via London, exploded off the Irish coast, killing all 329 people, including 86 children, on board.
