A 21-year-old man, Surya, was fatally run over by Beeda Madhuri, daughter of YSR Congress Rajya Sabha MP Beeda Masthan Rao, while sleeping on the pavement at Besant Nagar near Tiger Varadachari Salai. Vanitha, his wife, found him asleep on the road after an argument and got drunk the previous night.
