Taapsee Pannu recently revealed that she got into Bollywood due to her resemblance with Preity Zinta. She shared that she was brought into the industry because of being similar in looks to Preity and that she had to live up to that expectation. 

Taapsee revealed, “Many thought that I was a new version of Preity Zinta. That was the reason I got offers in Bollywood… She has a very positive energy, and you know it better than me because you must have interacted with her more. I have only seen her on TV or the big screen. I think the category of Preity Zinta is someone who can be lively and be with brains. I felt like I had to live up to that reputation for which they brought me into the industry… because of her name. So, I always put in some effort to be like her.”

The actress was last seen in Rajkumar Hirani’s Dunki where she shared screen space with Shah Rukh Khan, Vicky Kaushal and Boman Irani. Taapsee will be seen next in the sequel, Phir Aayi Hasseen Dillruba where she will share screen space with Vikrant Massey and Sunny Kaushal. 

After successful collaboration with Shah Rukh Khan, director Atlee is all set to work with Salman Khan in his next directorial. The actor was last seen in Tiger 3 and has agreed to work with the director in his next project.

Atlee aimed to work with superstar Allu Arjun who approved of his idea of the film. After this the director pitched the idea to Salman Khan who showed great interest in the project. Currently, the director is focussed on developing the script.

Slated to begin next year, the director shared his insights into his discussions with various personalities stating, “Every now and then, I discuss a lot of things with a lot of film lovers. Of course, me and Salman sir (Khan) had a discussion, me and Hrithik sir (Roshan) had a discussion long ago; me and Ranveer sir (Singh), Ranbir sir (Kapoor), Vijay sir (Thalapathy) had a discussion; and Allu (Arjun) sir had a discussion. As cinema lovers, we don’t stick to ‘ah, we’re going to stick to this thing’. We come with love, so if I like to work with you, I’ll love to work with you,” according to a leading media portal.
