Director Karan Johar has moved to Bombay High Court to file a suit over unauthorized use of his name in the film ‘Shaadi Ke Director Karan Aur Johar,’ seeking to remove the filmmaker’s name from the title of the film.

Karan has also filed an interim application seeking urgent relief of restraining the film’s release scheduled on Friday, during the pendency of the suit. The director claims that he has no affiliation to the film and the defendants are using his name unlawfully. 

The filmmaker has sought a permanent removal of the use of his name in the title of the film including any scenes and promotional materials such as advertisements, social media posts and posters. Johar has repeatedly stressed on the fact that he has no relation with the film.

Sunny Deol took to social media to share the announcement video of the most awaited war film Border 2. The film will be directed by Anurag Singh and produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, JP Dutta and Nidhi Dutta.

The actor took to social media sharing a video of the same, leaving fans super excited and proud of what the blockbuster film’s sequel has to offer. The video features the actor’s voice saying, “27 saal pehle ek fauji ne vada kiya tha ki vo vapas aayega. Ussi vaade ko poora karne, hindustan ki mitti ko apna salaam kehne, aa raha hai (Twenty-seven years ago, a soldier made a promise that he would return. To fulfill that promise, to salute the soil of India, he is coming).”

The original film Border was a blockbuster directed by JP Dutta and was on the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971. The film had Sunny Deol, Suniel Shetty, Jackie Shroff, Akshaye Khanna, Kulbhushan Kharbanda and Puneet Issar, playing pivotal parts. Jackie took to social media to share a picture of himself on the 27th anniversary of the film where the actor portrayed the role of Wing Commander Andy Bajwa.
