It was indeed a joyous night for Kolkata Knight Riders owned by Shah Rukh Khan last night as they lifted the Indian Premier League (IPL) trophy for the third time. KKR has been one of the most consistent teams this season and they proved their mettle in the Finals too. Sunrisers Hyderabad has been a phenomenal team this season, however, last night things did not click for them.
While many stars took to their social media to congratulate KKR, Amitabh Bachchan penned down some thoughtful words in his blog. He expressed his disappointment to see SRH lose as they have played incredibly well too throughout the tournament. It read, “The IPL Final is over and KKR have WON a most convincing victory .. SRH were simply outplayed .. disappointing in many ways because SRH is a good team and one has seen their very grand performances over the days when they played other matches.”
