SEVENTEEN on new beginnings and their album 17 is Right Here

K-pop boy band SEVENTEEN launched their latest album, 17 is Right Here. The album is a careful exploration of their marvellous evolution over the years. In a press conference attended virtually by Filmfare, the thirteen members got together to open up about the album’s making.

Reflecting on the past nine years of their discography, SEVENTEEN leader S. Coups said, “Over the past nine years after promoting different albums, when I look back, I could get an idea of the trust I need going forward. Over nine years we’ve built our trust. This is our tenth year since our debut and still, we have so many goals we want to achieve. We still talk among ourselves and that is the strength we have accumulated over the years. There were a lot of challenges and a lot of happy moments and we want to compile all of them and make this Best Album a new chapter for us.”

Hoshi added, “I want to talk about this new determination we have. We were fans of other artists. There are a lot of newer artists and aspiring artists these days. When they see the thirteen of us going forward. I want them to think that these groups can go a long way. I want them to admire us.”

Talking about the team’s goal to go on more tours, Mingyu shared, “We are always very happy about going on tours. Even when we are very short on time, we can’t make his physically. It is demanding for us but I always persuade the members to go to as many stages as possible. There are CARAT everywhere. We want to meet CARAT all across the globe. So whenever we can, we want to go the furthest.”

Woozi on using AI for MAESTRO from SEVENTEENâs new album 17 is Right Here

K-pop boy band SEVENTEEN is back with their much-anticipated album – 17 is Right Here. The stacked album unleashes the group’s range with 33 tracks as they continue to showcase their growth as artists. In a press conference attended virtually by Filmfare, the members opened up about their album’s making as they unveiled the lead single MAESTRO.

During the press conference, Woozi shed light on the use of AI. When asked if he tried experimenting with AI, he said, “I have tried of course, because this is a technological development that we have to leverage, not just be dissatisfied with. It is something we have to use along the way. So I practised using AI and tried to look for the pros and cons.”

He added, “Technology is evolving rapidly and what can we do to keep our identity? This is what I always ponder. And I really love the music video. When we were working on it with the directors, we talked about the same thing – how we have to live with AI.”

Woozi also shared insights on MAESTRO saying, “Through MAESTRO, we wanted to show a new facet of ourselves. To go into detail about that, I first wanted to show people that we’re not being complacent. We want to show other new sides that we haven’t shown yet. We don’t want to be like ‘Oh, we’re old enough so let’s just go with the flow’. We want to tour other places, we have so much passion inside of us. So even if it is our tenth year since our debut. We want to show you that we’re always doing our best and finding something new for CARATs.”
