Sunita Ahuja Says Govinda Has Had Many Affairs While Being Married
Actor Govinda’s wife, Sunita Ahuja, has often made headlines for speaking candidly about their marriage and the ups and downs of their relationship. Now, another one of her statements has resurfaced online. Sunita is currently one of the contestants on the reality show Lock Upp: Sach Ya Saza, hosted by Riteish Deshmukh and Farah Khan. During one of the episodes, she revealed that Govinda had several affairs during the course of their marriage.
Farah Khan read out one of the headlines associated with Sunita that said, “I want a son like Govinda, not a husband.”
Responding to it, Sunita said, “Pyaar mein toh aapko har cheez bardasht karna chahiye. Chi Chi ne life mein itne affairs kiye, chalo hero heroine mein toh hote hi hain. Toh mujhe lagta hai itne saal jo maine Chi Chi ke saath nibhaya hai, I think uske jaisa beta hona chahiye.” (In love, you should be able to tolerate everything. Chi Chi (Govinda’s nickname) had many affairs in his life. Well, heroes and heroines do such things. I think after standing by Chi Chi for so many years, I deserve to have a son like him.)
Riteish Deshmukh then read out another headline that stated, “Jab tak pati patni saath ho tab tak ankhiyon se goli maare. Par jab koi third party aa jaye to ghutnon par goli maare. (As long as a husband and wife are together, shoot with your eyes. But if a third person enters the relationship, shoot them in the knees.)”
Reacting to it, Sunita said, “Sun rahe ho Chi Chi toh sun lena bhaiya, kyunki ghutno pe goli tabhi lagti hai jab koi life mein aa jaati hai. Voh bhi maine jhooth nahi bola. Main toh Bombay mein thi nahi, kitne logon ne bola ki maine hi maar diya. Main toh Khatu Shyam mein thi.” (If you’re listening, Chi Chi, then listen carefully. A bullet only hits you in the knee when someone comes into your life. I wasn’t lying about that either. I wasn’t even in Mumbai. So many people claimed I was the one who shot him, but I was at Khatu Shyam.)”
Govinda and Sunita got married in 1987 and are parents to two children, daughter Tina Ahuja and son Yashvardhan Ahuja. Over the years, they have been regarded as one of Bollywood’s most enduring couples. However, in recent times, Sunita has openly admitted that they have been living in separate homes due to their different lifestyles.
Earlier this year, the couple wavs also surrounded by divorce rumours, which were later dismissed by those close to them.
