There is a celebration in store for the family of veteran actor and politician Mithun Chakraborty. His daughter, Dishani Chakraborty, has officially announced her engagement to Myles Mantzaris. The couple, who shared the happy news with fans, is set to tie the knot on December 6, 2026.
Taking to Instagram, Dishani shared a series of dreamy pictures from the proposal, which quickly grabbed attention of her followers. One image showed a heartwarming moment as Myles, who is a steadicam operator and colourist, got down on one knee. Another photo showed Dishani proudly flaunting her engagement ring, while the final slide captured a wholesome moment as the two shared a kiss. Expressing her happiness over the moment, Dishani kept her social media caption simple yet beautiful, writing: “06.12.2026… The easiest forever I’ve ever known.”
Dishani is the adopted daughter of Mithun Chakraborty and his wife, actress Yogeeta Bali. The legendary actor, who made his debut in the 1976 art house drama Mrigayaa, a role that earned him the National Film Award for Best Actor, has been a star of Indian cinema for decades. He and Yogeeta Bali, who married in 1979, have three sons, Mimoh, Ushmey, and Namashi, alongside their daughter Dishani.
Mithun Chakraborty, a household name after the 1982 blockbuster *Disco Dancer*, has appeared in numerous popular films throughout his career, including Agneepath, Pati Patni Aur Tawaif, Gunahon Ka Devta, Roti Kee Keemat, Trinetra, Shatranj, Tadipaar, Jung, Kaalia, Daadagiri, Guru, My Name Is Anthony Gonsalves, Housefull 2, The Tashkent Files, and The Kashmir Files.
On the work front, Mithun was last seen in the film The Bengal Files, directed by Vivek Agnihotri. The movie focuses on two historical events: Direct Action Day and the Noakhali riots, highlighting the violence and destruction that occurred during that period. The film also starred Darshan Kumar, Pallavi Joshi, Namashi Chakraborty among others.

Actress Sanchita Ugale, known for shows such as Kumkum Bhagya and Wagle Ki Duniya has committed suicide. She breathed her last on June 14, at her residence in Sai Santoshi Building in Aachole Village, Nalasopara East. She was 22 years old.
As per Assistant Police Inspector Vinod Bagh of Aachole Police Station, Sanchita had locked herself inside her bedroom and allegedly hanged herself from a ceiling fan. It was reportedly done using a saree between 7pm and 7:30 pm.

Aachole Police registered an Accidental Death Report (ADR) under Section 194 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS) based on a complaint filed by her father, Machhindra Ugale.

Besides Kumkum Bhagya, she was also seen in the television series Dilwali Dulha Le Jayegi and played the role of Tarabai in Chhaava.
