Thanks to the hugely popular web series Mirzapur, actor Divyenndu enjoys a strong fan following even in the Telugu States. The actor recently opened up about the overwhelming affection he received from audiences in Hyderabad while shooting for his Telugu debut, Peddi.
Divyenndu revealed that Ram Charan had earlier told him about the immense popularity of his iconic Mirzapur character, Munna Bhaiya, among Telugu audiences. Initially, the actor admitted that he did not fully understand the scale of that admiration. However, a memorable shooting experience soon changed his perspective.

During the filming of a large-scale cricket sequence involving a massive crowd, Divyenndu experienced the excitement firsthand. The moment fans spotted him on set, they greeted him with enthusiasm and warmth.
According to the actor, the genuine appreciation from the audience made him realise that Ram Charan’s words were absolutely true. Many fans approached him to express how much they enjoyed his performances, especially in Mirzapur. Others spoke about their admiration for his acting style and screen presence.
Divyenndu described the experience as both humbling and encouraging, adding that such heartfelt reactions give actors confidence and motivation. The appreciation comes at a time when the actor is enjoying a remarkable phase in his career. Audiences have also been praising his performance in Glory, the recently released high-stakes sports crime thriller.

At several promotional events for Peddi, Divyenndu has spoken passionately about the film and director Buchi Babu Sana’s storytelling. He revealed that the narration moved him deeply because of the emotional layers and nuances embedded in the script. The actor shared that he initially expected a conventional large-scale commercial entertainer but was surprised to discover a film filled with emotion, honesty, and soul.
He has also described Peddi as one of the biggest and most special projects of recent years. In the film, Divyenndu plays Rambujji, a character who locks horns with Ram Charan’s protagonist in the June 4 release.
