In a recent conversation with Filmfare, Madhuri Dixit opened up about how much the Industry has changed for women over time. The Bollywood actress shared her views on how women have to work almost twice as hard as men to earn recognition, especially when it comes to looks and presenting themselves on screen. 

The Bollywood actress, when asked how she looks at young actresses, talks about pay parity and equal pay, or something she feels is missing in this industry which could have been better, she said, “They are right about the pay parity, but it’s everywhere. It’s a male society… male-dominated, and women have to take baby steps; they have been chipping at the bricks, little by little try to break the wall.”

Madhuri Dixit further added that she feels, “Every woman has to take that step..try to do better every time.” The Bollywood actress further emphasized the fact that “women have to always look their best every time they come on screen.” She stated that it was wonderful that people are speaking up now, and how she is genuinely happy about the fact how far women have come along.

The Bollywood actress further recalled what film sets used to look like back in the 90s. She revealed that apart from female co-stars, the only women on set were usually hairdressers. “When I used to work on the sets in the 90s, the only women on the stage used to be the Hairdresser and the co-stars. But now when I walk on the sets, there are women everywhere,” she proudly said.

Bollywood actor, Ranveer Singh has once again portrayed his passionate love and loyalty towards, the North London club, Arsenal. Despite Arsenal falling short against PSG in the UEFA Champions League final, the actor took to his social media applauded the team’s efforts and took great pride in the team’s performance.

Taking to his official Instagram handle, Ranveer Singh wrote, “Proud of the boys. Fought like lions! Couldn’t get any closer in a game of such fine margins. Congratulations to my Arsenal family on a historic season. And….the best is yet to come!”

According to sources, Ranveer’s love for Arsenal began two decades ago. Following his passionate love and support for the team, the actor has repeatedly expressed his admiration for the club and often celebrates their successes publicly. Recalling the influence of legendary manager Arsène Wenger and Arsenal’s iconic “Invincibles” era, Ranveer wrote:

“Arsenal is not a family I was born into. It is a family I chose. After being mesmerised seeing Arsene Wengers ‘Invincibles’ play the beautiful game in its most exquisite form, I became a lifelong Arsenal fan. That was in 2001, I was 16. And I chose well. What style, what flair, what a dazzling club!”

PSG kept their composure in the shootout to secure a 4-3 victory, while Arsenal’s hopes were dashed when defender Gabriel Magalhães missed the decisive spot-kick.

The actor also gave fans a glimpse of his time in Budapest through a series of social media posts.

Earlier during the trip, Ranveer had met Arsenal and England midfielder Declan Rice and shared a picture from their interaction. Posting a glimpse from the meet on his social media account, he captioned it, “All about last night, while using the iconic song “Tere Jaisa Yaar Kahan from the film ‘Yaarana’ in the background.
