Apart from the two projects, she is also gearing up for Sardar 2. She will be seen alongside Karthi in the much-awaited sequel. During an exclusive interview with Filmfare some time back, Malavika had opened up about her biggest challenge of being a pan-Indian actress. She said, “My biggest challenge is that whenever I’m working, be it in Hyderabad, Kochi or Chennai, being away from home for an extended period gets hard. It takes a toll. It makes me feel uprooted if it goes on for too long. I miss coming back home to my loved ones after a long day. It gets very dull. I don’t like coming back to an empty hotel room. It takes a toll on me. You need a sense of community and family. I get blurry when I don’t have that. I need my loved ones around. But the funny part is, I won’t even chill with them when I am home. I might be in my room doing my own thing but I need my people around.”

He had said, “Challenging role ho. It is very simple for me. Aapne mujhe role diya, aur agar ye mujhe darr lage ki main ye karunga toh marr jaunga… (You have given me a role and if I feel that I will die when I perform it…).” He added, “Izzat nikal jayegi, main dhang se kar nahi paunga. But somewhere deep down, wahi darr mujhe motivate karta hain. Agar aap main talent hain, aapka hunar hain, aapka craft hain, toh karo. Karke dikhaao. Wo main karta hoon. Mujhe uss kisam ke role hee, challenging role hee karne mein mazaa aata hain.”

He also shared if he has developed a method to his madness. Rawal shared, “Har actor ki apni alag method hoti hain. Sirf Stella Adler jaisi ek hee pattern nahi, har actor ka alag ek road map hota hain to arrive at a particular emotion. Wo apne aap ko prepare karna padta hain.”

Fresh Details About Alia Bhatts Role in ALPHA

Alia Bhatt is coming back to the theatres with her upcoming movie ALPHA. The Yash Raj Films project is slated to be released on July 10, 2026. The movie also stars Sharvari, Bobby Deol and Anil Kapoor in leading roles.

Alia Bhatt

As this would be Alia Bhatt’s first film after the 2024 movie Jigra, fans are excited to see her in a new avatar. Social media users have been speculating about Alia’s character in the film, and an IANS report has recently stated what one can expect from the actor. “Alia Bhatt is definitely playing a killer in Alpha,” the report noted.

It further added, “She isn’t like the goody good heroes that the YRF Spy Universe has introduced so far and is, in fact, as assassin who has been raised and trained to kill. She isn’t a spy. She is an alpha killer. This is a very today’s way of looking at protagonists because people want to see exciting, entertaining protagonists on screen. Alia’s character in Alpha will do just that!”

The report further added, “With Alpha, Aditya Chopra is taking a very unconventional approach to build a hero. This is clearly a creative pivot for the YRF Spyverse and a much-needed one for the universe that wants to score big with Alpha as it puts a leading lady doing hardcore action in an action entertainer entirely mounted on her.”

IANS also contacted a YRF spokesperson for confirmation on the news. The person reportedly noted, “All we can say is that everyone should wait for the first asset of Alpha. We can neither confirm or deny this chatter at this stage.”

The movie’s makers are also apparently in talks about getting its release date preponed. If so, it will be released on July 3, 2026. We await YRF’s official confirmation or denial on the same.
