Photos: Salman Khan Gets Heartfelt Sorry From Paparazzi

A day after Salman Khan slammed the paparazzi through a series of social media posts, the photographers apologised to the actor when they met him in person. Salman attended the success bash for Raja Shivaji, the film in which he also had a cameo.

Outside the venue, the actor was surrounded by paparazzi, who were heard saying, “Kal ke liye sorry, Bhaijaan” (Sorry for yesterday, Bhaijaan). Salman acknowledged them with a nod. Later, as he was entering the venue, the paparazzi apologised once again.

In a teasing mood, Salman responded, “Zor se bolo” (Say it louder).

Why Did The Paparazzi Apologise?

A couple of days ago, the actor visited a hospital to meet someone. As he exited the premises, paparazzi stationed outside began asking him questions about his upcoming films. Soon after, Salman took to social media to express his displeasure over the intrusion of privacy, especially in sensitive spaces like hospitals.

Dragon dominates the conversation

This year’s birthday celebrations largely belonged to Dragon, scheduled for a theatrical release on June 11, 2027. Director Prashanth Neel unveiled an explosive first glimpse of the film, instantly setting social media on fire. The teaser hinted at a massive and intense cinematic world, quickly becoming the major talking point among fans. A simultaneous announcement for God of War would have divided audience attention and diluted the impact of both projects. The makers therefore appear to have consciously allowed Dragon to dominate the limelight for now.

A divine role awaits Jr NTR

Industry reports strongly suggest that Jr NTR will portray Lord Murugan in God of War. Producer Naga Vamsi also hinted at the collaboration while wishing the actor on his birthday, further fuelling speculation around the project. Actor Bobby Deol began his acting career as a child artist in Dharam Veer (1977) before landing his debut lead role in Barsaat (1995). The film was a major commercial hit and earned him the Filmfare Award for Best Male Debut. However, Deol’s career slowly started declining as the 2000s progressed. The industry landscape shifted, changing audience tastes led to several box office flops, and he was sidelined in favour of newer actors. It took films like Race 3 and the web series Aashram for him to script a comeback in the late 2010s.

Recently, in a conversation with Shekhar Suman on his show, Bobby revealed how he felt the younger generation had almost forgotten him, prompting him to play a supporting role in Race 3 opposite Salman Khan in order to remind them of his existence.

According to a report from Hindustan Times, released in 2018, Race 3 changed the franchise’s cast, bringing in Salman Khan instead of Saif Ali Khan. Bobby Deol appeared as a supporting character in the film, which also starred Anil Kapoor, Jacqueliene Fernandez, Daisy Shah, and Saqib Saleem. Speaking with Shekhar Suman on Shekhar Tonite, Bobby recalled, “Salman was so sweet. Kuch saalo baad usne mujhe phone kiya aur kaha, ‘Shirt utarega maamu’ (Will you take off your shirt). I said, ‘Main kuch bhi karunga’ (I will do anything). Then he said come on, listen to the story and that is how I got Race 3.

Bobby Deol shares how the younger generation had almost forgotten about his existence

Race 3 was a box-office success, earning over â‚¹300 crore worldwide, though it did not match the standards set by some of Salman’s other hits at the time. Yet it did give Bobby’s flagging career a boost, further revived by Prakash Jha’s Aashram, which aired in 2020. Talking about Race 3, Bobby added, “Millions of people are going to go watch a Salman Khan film. Jo young generation thi woh Bobby Deol ko bhool gayi thi (The young generation had forgotten Bobby Deol). So I felt ki main iss film me aaunga toh log pehchanenge ki koi Bobby Deol bhi hai (If I do this film, people will realise I exist).”

After the success of Race 3 and Aashram, Bobby’s career truly turned around after he played the brief but memorable role of the antagonist in Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Animal. The film starred Ranbir Kapoor in the lead role, but many fans and critics felt that Bobby held his own against the younger star. He has since appeared in the web series The Ba***ds of Bollywood, as well as box-office hits like Hari Hara Veera Mallu. Bobby’s next release is slated to be Anurag Kashyap’s Bandar. He also has Jana Nayagan, Vijay’s final film, stuck with the CBFC for months.
