Reports about Pooja Hegde’s next film

Fresh speculation is now doing the rounds about her next big collaboration. According to the latest reports, Pooja Hegde is among the top contenders to play the female lead opposite Allu Arjun in director Lokesh Kanagaraj’s upcoming film, tentatively titled AA23.

The pan-Indian project is currently in the pre-production stage. If the reports turn out to be true, it will mark the third collaboration between Pooja Hegde and Allu Arjun. Interestingly, Pooja had previously worked with Lokesh Kanagaraj for the song Monica in Coolie last year.

A successful on-screen pairing

Allu Arjun and Pooja Hegde first shared screen space in director Harish Shankar’s Duvvada Jagannadham. Their chemistry, especially in the chartbuster song Seeti Maar, became hugely popular and contributed significantly to the film’s success. The duo later reunited for the blockbuster Ala Vaikuntapurramuloo, where Pooja played a corporate executive opposite Allu Arjun’s middle-class employee. Their pairing was widely appreciated by audiences.

Veteran actor Rakesh Bedi is currently winning hearts online after a funny interaction with traffic police officers went viral. In a video from the latest episode of the YouTube show The Bombay Journey, the actor was seen getting recognised at a traffic signal for his role in Dhurandhar. As soon as the officers spotted him, they turned into fans and began praising his performance, leaving everyone around smiling. Reacting in his signature comic style, Rakesh joked, “Ab challan mat kaat dena,” which instantly made the officers laugh.

The clip, shared on Instagram on Tuesday, carried the caption, “It’s not every day you see the traffic squad turn into fanboys!” In the video, one of the officers shook hands with the actor and said, “Jabardast picture hai Dhurandhar,” adding that he had watched the film in theatres and loved it. Another officer soon joined the moment and even clicked a selfie with Rakesh, unaware that the entire exchange was being recorded on camera.

During the conversation, the officers also recalled watching Tiranga, where Rakesh appeared alongside Nana Patekar, and spoke about enjoying his performances with Salman Khan as well. Fans on social media were touched by the wholesome moment, with many saying the actor deserved this appreciation after years of hard work in the industry. One user commented, “Artist live for this type of meet up and praise,” while another wrote that they were happy to finally see him getting the recognition he deserves.

Rakesh Bedi’s performance as Pakistani politician Jameel Jamali in Dhurandhar has become one of the most talked-about aspects of the film. Directed by Aditya Dhar, the two-part franchise also stars Ranveer Singh, Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt, R. Madhavan, and Akshaye Khanna. The actor will next be seen in Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai, directed by David Dhawan and co-starring Varun Dhawan, Mrunal Thakur, Pooja Hegde and Mouni Roy.
