At the 2026 Met Gala, themed Fashion Is Art, Kim Kardashian made a striking appearance in a custom bright orange metallic breastplate paired with an open skirt. The piece was created by artist Allen Jones in collaboration with design duo Whitaker Malem, drawing inspiration from 1960s sculptural art, particularly Jones’ Maitresse. The design featured sculpted abdominal detailing and a dramatic cone-bra silhouette. Kylie Jenner, on the other hand, turned heads in a custom surrealist Schiaparelli Couture gown. The design featured a body-hugging nude corset with a faux-nipple detail and a fluid, draped skirt that created the illusion of the dress slipping away. Styled by creative director Daniel Roseberry, the look was completed with bleached brows and classic Old Hollywood waves.
Kendall Jenner stepped out in a custom GapStudio creation by Zac Posen, drawing inspiration from the iconic Greek sculpture Winged Victory of Samothrace. The white, floor-length gown featured sculptural draping with pronounced ruching, a single-shoulder silhouette, and a ‘nipple bra’ detail crafted to mimic the effect of wet marble. Momager Kris Jenner wore a Dolce & Gabbana gown set over a white satin foundation, adorned with intricate classical motifs and densely embellished with shimmering sequins.
