Rakul Preet Singh and Jackky Bhagnani Laugh Off The Situationship Controversy
Actor Rakul Preet Singh has once again addressed the ongoing ‘situationship’ chatter around her marriage, this time with a dose of humour. After previously calling out clickbait narratives, she chose a lighter route, sharing a playful video with her husband, Jackky Bhagnani, that pokes fun at the viral remark.
The buzz began after Jackky, during a podcast, described their relationship as a ‘situationship,’ intending to reflect its easygoing and friendship-driven nature. However, the term quickly snowballed into sensational headlines, with many interpreting it as a commentary on the strength or seriousness of their marriage. Instead of issuing another strong statement, Rakul leaned into the moment with a witty reel that directly addresses the chatter. Check out the video:
She shared the clip on Instagram’s story section. In it, she can be heard saying, “Kitne baar bola isko, ki we are millennials, Gen-Z banne ki zaroorat nahi hai. (I have told him multiple times that we are millennials. No need to behave like Gen-Z”
The clip then pans to Jackky, who is holding his ears to apologise. Rakul continues, “Bola that na? Kar dia na tumne?”

When Jackky apologises, Rakul says that, since netizens are not stopping this discussion, they have also decided to poke fun at the matter.
Previously, the actress had called out the tendency to reduce nuanced conversations into attention-grabbing headlines, stressing that “context matters” in interpreting personal discussions.
The couple, who tied the knot in 2024 after dating for several years, have often spoken about their relationship being grounded in honesty, independence, and mutual respect.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Rakul Preet Singh will be seen in Pati Patni Aur Woh Do, with Ayushmann Khurrana, Sara Ali Khan and Wamiqa Gabbi.
