The producers of Allu Arjun and Atlee’s dream project, Raaka, have officially dismissed rumours regarding the reduction of Deepika Padukone’s screen time. After the actress announced her second pregnancy, speculation surfaced suggesting that the director might reimagine or shorten her character’s arc in the sci-fi actioner. However, the production team clarified the situation in a recent statement to the Times of India.

On Deepika Padukone…
The filmmakers of Raaka have reportedly clarified that the project is moving ahead exactly as originally envisioned. The team told the Times of India that Deepika plays a crucial role in the sci-fi thriller. They further noted that the shoot is currently progressing smoothly with great energy on set. Their statement effectively confirms that there is no reduction in the actress’s role.

Deepika’s action-packed role…
Atlee previously collaborated with the actress on the blockbuster Jawan, starring Shah Rukh Khan. It is likely that he planned her schedule and character requirements with full foresight, and her role has not been restructured. He accounted for all logistical possibilities well in advance of the current filming phase. Deepika’s role remains a closely guarded secret.
She is reportedly shooting action sequences for the film. Her action-packed role will be a key element in driving Raaka’s story. While the makers earlier described her role as a warrior in a parallel universe setting, this has only enhanced curiosity around her character. Deepika’s visuals released earlier as part of the concept art hint at the actor performing high-energy combat moves while holding a weapon. Reportedly, the actress has allotted 100 days to shoot for the film.
Raaka features Allu Arjun in a highly anticipated dual role. This project marks the first collaboration between Atlee and the Pushpa star. Young music director Sai Abhyankkar is planning to rope in international singers and lyricists for the album.
