Russia deploys new ‘Lancet’ suicide drones in Ukraine conflict

Russia is reportedly deploying an updated version of the ‘Lancet’ suicide drone against Kyiv’s forces in the ongoing Ukraine conflict. This comes as unmanned technology continues to play a pivotal role in the battles in eastern and southern Ukraine, a report said. According to a recent analysis by the US-based Institute for the Study of War (ISW), Russian sources have indicated that Moscow’s troops have been using the “Izdeliye-53” weapons, a newer iteration of these drones, on a limited scale since around October 21.
