Shah Rukh Khan Reacts to The Academys Thoughtful Nod to Om Shanti Om

Shah Rukh Khan was recently honoured by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. The Academy posted the scene from Om Shanti Om, where Shah Rukh’s character Om gives a speech after winning his first Filmfare award. As the organisation dropped the clip on social media, fans couldn’t keep calm. Interestingly, the clip features the iconic “Itni shiddat se maine tumhe paane ki koshish ki hai…” monologue.

The Academy shared the clip with the caption, “One thing about destiny… it doesn’t miss.” While netizens have shared their comments on the post, cheering for SRK and Om Shanti Om’s team, many were curious to know the actor’s take on such a heartfelt nod. Now, Shah Rukh has shared an update on social media, thanking The Academy for the honour.

“Thank u @theacademy for sending me down memory lane with Om’s speech. now I truly feel like the King of the world. Ha ha,” shared SRK. Netizens have commented on the post as well. “Movie so GOATED that even academy posting about this one…,” wrote one social media user, while another added, “Indian cinema won’t ever witness a legend like SRK !! The Greatest to exist ever.”
