Buzz: Ram Charanâs Peddi Release Date Postponed Again?

The release plans of Ram Charan’s upcoming film Peddi continue to keep fans guessing. Filmfare had earlier exclusively reported that the rustic action drama might not hit theatres on April 30 as scheduled. Now, according to the latest reports, the Ram Charan starrer may indeed miss its planned release date.

Peddi release: Fans on tenterhooks

The release date of Peddi, directed by Buchi Babu Sana, has already been pushed multiple times, with the film most recently slated for an April 30 release. Earlier delays were attributed to production hurdles, VFX work, and box office competition. While such extensions are often necessary to ensure high-quality output, sources now suggest that the makers are eyeing a new release window, possibly June 25, 2026, to align with premieres, a holiday period, and weekend screenings.

A source reveals that the decision to postpone the release is driven purely by the need to deliver a polished final product, citing ongoing production and technical challenges. However, the makers have yet to issue an official confirmation. The continued uncertainty has left fans on tenterhooks. While the recently released ‘pehelwan glimpse’ featuring Ram Charan has heightened curiosity, repeated delays are also testing fans’ patience.

Release date challenges

Interestingly, even when the ‘pehelwan glimpse’ was unveiled, the promotional material still mentioned April 30 as the release date. The makers’ silence regarding the latest postponement rumours has only added to the speculation. Since its announcement, Peddi has faced multiple scheduling challenges, including production delays, stiff competition from Dhurandhar 2, post-production constraints, and the need to secure a prime holiday window.

Peddi has music scored by Academy Award winner AR Rahman and cinematography by Rathnavelu.
While the song Chikiri Chikiri garnered over 200 million views, the second single, Rai Rai Raa Raa also dominated music charts. Set in 1980s Andhra Pradesh, the sports drama also stars Janhvi Kapoor in a key role.
