The much-anticipated next from Anurag Basu seems to be quietly moving forward, with fresh visuals now surfacing from Srinagar. While there’s still no official confirmation on whether the film belongs to the Aashiqui franchise, the buzz around it continues to build with every new glimpse from the sets.

Talking about Kartik Aaryan’s look, he’s clearly leaning into a rugged, broody vibe this time. With slightly messy long hair, a full beard, and layered earthy-toned outfits, his appearance feels raw and intense. It’s a noticeable shift from his usual polished romantic-hero image and hints at a more emotionally complex character.
Interestingly, this isn’t the first time glimpses from the film have gone viral. Around April last year, videos from Gangtok had already created chatter online, showing Kartik and Sreeleela shooting musical sequences. One clip even had Kartik performing on stage with a guitar, lip-syncing to Tu Meri Zindagi Hai, while another showed a sudden aggressive turn, adding a darker edge to the narrative.
On the work front, Kartik was last seen in the romantic comedy Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri alongside Ananya Panday. He’s also been juggling multiple projects, including Dharma Productions’ Naagzilla. With this Anurag Basu film now back in motion, it looks like he’s stepping into a phase of more layered and experimental roles.
