he Telugu version of Dhurandhar: The Revenge is set to make its theatrical debut on Saturday, arriving two days after the Hindi version’s release. The film is already enjoying massive craze in the Telugu states. In Hyderabad, the Hindi version has emerged as a dominant release, even challenging the strong presence of Pawan Kalyan’s Ustaad Bhagat Singh. All eyes are now on how well the Telugu-dubbed version of the Ranveer Singh starrer will perform at the box office.

The regional version failed to make it to theatres on March 18 for its evening premieres, leaving fans disappointed. Many took to social media to express their frustration after receiving cancellation messages. The delay was due to the CBFC mandating specific corrections and modifications. Despite receiving an Adult (A) certificate, the board suggested around 21 changes, including muting certain abusive words and trimming scenes of graphic violence. Major cuts were recommended for sequences depicting extreme violence, such as a beheading scene, “eye-smashing” visuals, and attacks involving cement blocks and hammers.

Meanwhile, the sequel continues to maintain strong momentum despite the initial hiccups. Prominent Tollywood stars like Mahesh Babu, Allu Arjun, and Jr NTR have praised the Ranveer Singh–Aditya Dhar film. Mahesh Babu, currently working on Varanasi, described it as an “explosion executed with perfect precision,” adding, “The way Aditya Dhar has conceived and delivered this standing ovation-worthy experience is remarkable.”
Jr NTR, who is working on Dragon, wrote that Ranveer is “just breathtaking… he delivered an absolute masterclass on screen.” He added, “It takes conviction and fearless vision to mount a film like this,” while also praising Aditya Dhar and co-stars R. Madhavan, Sanjay Dutt, and Arjun Rampal.
Allu Arjun shared, “A film that will make every patriot proud. Many clap-trapping moments,” adding that Aditya Dhar has “hit the ball out of the park.”

The film, which also stars Sara Arjun, has been receiving attention for its scale, performances, and high-octane storytelling. Early reports indicate a powerful opening at the box office, with packed theatres and widespread audience interest across regions.

The celebratory mood also highlighted the camaraderie among the cast and crew, who have been promoting the film extensively in the lead-up to its release.
